  1. @itu The Alembic DS5 is a two sided power supply and the bass can also be powered (not that long) with two 9 Volts batteries.
  2. I think Alembic started the "18 Volts" preamps way back in the 70's... In fact they started active basses.
  3. Fodera, Sire, Warwick, MTD, Ibanez, Ken Smith, Status (the Hellborg model was even running on 4 batteries, so 36 Volts...), loads of luthiers basses, ... have an 18 Volts preamp installed.
  4. Feedback and double bass... @Happy Jack...
  5. Muziker are offering a poplar body at a very very low price too: https://www.muziker.co.uk/dr-parts-pb-body
  6. I bought a sixer headless bridge system from André and the quality is really top notch. Beware that there are bad imitations available on the internet. You can watch them on his Reverb store: https://reverb.com/shop/andres-gear-outlet-227 Or on his eBay store: https://www.ebay.com/usr/apassini98 Or check his website: https://novaguitarparts.com.br/portfolios/ponte-headless-para-baixo-4-5-e-6-cordas/
  7. He is @Andre_Passini !
  8. ABM makes some too and André from Nova makes some too and is a member here.
  9. Cough, cough...
  10. If you want to be a bit reassured about delays, I waited my Leduc U-Contrebasse 6 EUB (called Moaï ) for 7 years and my Leduc U-Basse 6 fretless is going to delivered in a few weeks after more than 5 years of waiting. But Christophe is a friend and you know how it works with delays and friends... That said I always had news about the building progress ... when there was some.
  11. Idea good Jack Happy.
  12. These are excellent lightweight replacement bridges, not sure they will fit a Bongo... Just ask them. https://www.ampshopbassexchange.com/product/albridge-parts-mq5-sterling-music-man-replacement-5-string-bass-bridge-black-18mm-string-space/
  13. By the way @ebenezer, did you get the awaited answer? 🤦🏻‍♂️😂😉
  14. You win @tauzero! I'm out to buy a Toledo Salamanca.
  15. It's so obvious that it's obvious I obviously didn't understand the obvious part of the obvious wording. Silly me. 🤪
  16. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Left-_and_right-hand_traffic If you read it, you'll notice that right hand traffic is the most common worldwide by a huge margin. You'll also notice that in ancient times people were driving in the middle of the road and when crossing, they kept the ... right side of the road, so please stop with this absurd assertions. And once again U.K. was, is and will always be in Europe, but decided to get out of the EEC, which is something different.
  17. That's why I used a past tense...
  18. Just for the record @Chienmortbb: https://mossmotors.com/how-to-positive-or-negative-ground And what I wrote were just facts as I don't care what you use as long as you don't pretend they are the only correct options. These were just to demonstrate that there's no right option, so a truss rod is not working in reverse, but is a left or right thread working system and both are totally correct. Got it?
  19. Why do you take it personally?
  20. Excellent amp indeed, I wouldn't part with mine! GLWYS.
  21. Don't you drive on the left side of the road? Don't you use left thread? Don't you use imperial system? Didn't you put the positive of batteries to the ground? Strange to ask such a question, no?
  22. Not really cheap, but it's what is used in classical concert halls: https://www.thomann.de/gb/km_14050_multi_purpose_stool.htm
  23. Did you check König und Meyer? https://www.k-m.de/en/products/drummer-s-thrones-benches-stools/stools/14050-stool-black-imitation-leather?c=167
  24. Speaking German helps a bit, Mick. 😉 There is all the data needed: https://www.ets-hardware.com/index.php/en/impressum-2
