  1. Got the answer from Didier, the company owner-designer, concerning the GSS Sumo 1000 : it's a proprietary design, so nothing to do with the Pascal Audio module. It would be interesting to compare the both, but I won't buy a Trickfish 1k or a Warwick LWA1000 to do so, though the Warwick is so "cheap"... 🤔
  2. Bloody Italian blood, thought it was all gone during the last transfusion.
  3. Wait that I get better and I'll make pictures of my part Hellborg rig. That said a complete Hellborg rig would be something I would be proud of.
  4. Indeed, by people who read what's on the website and never compared the two. That said, it's a minor detail. Buy the one you like, but be aware that, as I wrote, what is really making the sound of this amp is the most transparent preamp to date : the Michael POPE one. And to be honest, I really don't like your aggresivity about my comments when I only try to help.
  5. And to do so with the capacitors, they would be bigger than the case itself. In fact PWM power supplies have lightning fast response to big current comsuption, so can cope easily with large peaks. No need for bigger capacitors here. That said, the Ice Power and tve Pascal don't sound the same. The Ice Power being a bit darker.
  6. I've seen the guts of both amps, sorry for you, but it's exactly the same Pascal power module, with the exact same capacitors : another marketing trick, typically American.
  7. The Trickfish .5k uses an Ice Power module like most the powerful Class D amplifier, when the 1k uses a Pascal power module just like, for the moment, only one other amplifier which is the Warwick LWA1000. The GSS Sumo 1000 certainly uses the same Pascal power module, but it's a mono power amp only. As I already wrote, the Trickfishes use a Michael POPE Flex Core derived preamp, so to date the most transparent preamp available. That could be the explanation for that :
  8. I sent mine to Raleigh in the USA. Here is their answer about the warranty and shipping : "I have attached a return form for you to fill out and include. Your cost will be the shipping cost both ways, we will cover the parts and labor for the repair. When we send it back to you, we will note that it is a repaired unit being returned to the owner. That will avoid duties, etc. If you provide similar information, there won’t be any duties coming this way. 9. Try Reußenzehn : https://www.reussenzehn.de/de/musiker/bass-preamps.php Or even Glockenklang with their Bass Art preamp : https://www.glockenklang.de/de/produkte/produkte_bass.htm The French guys of Two Notes are making some terrific products : https://www.two-notes.com/le-bass The Polish Taurus could be worth looking at : http://www.taurus-amp.pl/bass/efx-preamp/preamps.html ...
  10. There's one Tony Franklin for sale on Reverb : https://reverb.com/item/18845491-fender-tony-franklin-fretless-precision-bass-us
  11. Sold a Michael POPE Flex Core preamp to Peter. Everything was fast, easy and smooth. Another credit to BassChat. Tschüß.
  12. I sent my Acoustic Image back to the US repair service. Within 10 days after my original shipping, I got my amp back totally fixed and checked for just the shipping fee. Their lifetime warranty to any owner is not a marketing trick. Congratulations !
  13. What is wrong, I can't see. I've done hundreds of sales from Belgium to almost everywhere in the world and always preferred to be paid through PayPal as it's instantaneous and sure. Check Zikinf.com and Audiofanzine.fr as the buyer is certainly active there as these are French web sites. That said, just wait until May day, the 29th of March, if you want to be sure to keep your guitar. Sorry to be a bit harsh, but it's now or never. And don't slacken the strings, except if you want the buyer to get a broken neck guitar.
  14. Send @Jono a PM. 😉 Click on his avatar to access to this.
  15. I forgot to mention "free ... shipping". 🤣
  16. What about this one, you can have it : It's a full original 1978 Fender Precision Bass with a Brazilian rosewood (way far more singing than ebony) and a Seymour Duncan Jazz bass pickup. The fingerboard replacement was made by THE French luthier Christophe LEDUC. I bought it to the original owner years ago and don't play it at all, being a 6 strings fretless bass player.
  17. Hi Tony, Because it implies modifying the width and length of their "standard" neck, and putting a different bridge and nut : I know their charge is quite high.
  18. Moving without walking. 😂🚶😉
  19. Yep on top of the preamp, but for the moment, I can't play because of health problem (will be fine in 10 days)... I have to be calm and avoid walking or staying in the same position for a long period.
  20. Exactly my rig !
  21. This is the same fretted bass Alain Caron uses all the time, as the Replica has a bolt-on neck ... which is not the same. Hugues is also a fantastic and sympathetic person to deal with. 👍
  22. I have this :
  23. Just called Thomann right now and the preamps will be in stock next week. Yesss !!!
