  2. I can only, hélas, confirm what @Happy Jack has written as we made a strings group order some years ago and it was an awful experience as they didn't make sets, but they simply sent a lot of strings in a box... after a lot of emails asking for the said order. And there were some strings missing too. 🤦‍♂️
  3. @Bean9seventy : If you could type, because you are not writing at all, some clear well structured sentences, it would be very helpful as there is some really useful information in the coded messages. Deciphering these chaotic amount of words is quite tiring, even if it's interesting. Make an effort, be concise, precise and structured, which should be the case as you program drum lines, but doesn't seem that obvious. There's always a before for everything in the universe, but something can become a catalyst and Mark King was one of those, clearly using his jazz rock, that was not yet called fusion, roots and adding a very personal drumming style slap that was and still is really different from whatever you can hear when it comes to slap. That said his fingerstyle playing is really terrific too and too many people seem to forget it. He also knows Indian music a lot. If you were there at the beginning, as you seem to tell us, you certainly know that there was no singing intended, but that it was the triggering factor that really launched Level 42 and Mark King. Mark King also didn't know that the Gould brothers were excellent lyricists, but that's another story.
  4. Put some 250K pots instead and there you go.
  5. It depends of the scale, but if it's an early bird, then it's a Stanley Clarke and 30.75 inches scale. If it has a 32 or 34 inches scale, then it's a Mark King, but it can't be that as the MK was only introduced in 1989...
  6. Listen to this album then : https://leitnerjoe.bandcamp.com/album/blow-torch
  7. And Geddy? And Tony Levin ?
  8. Tubular Bells ... on the radio !
  9. 20. Wrong answer, Lou Deprijck was born in Lessines. Plastic Bertrand who was born Roger Jouret in Brussels has never sung on that hit, but was also a fake singer on his 4 first albums, only making playback !!! Lou Deprijck has always been the singer, composer, arranger and producer for these first 4 albums. I knew it from the late session drummer Bob Dartsch (original drummer for Ça plane pour moi) since the late 80's and the 2010 final judgment got Lou Deprijck definitely confirmed as the singer for Plastic Bertrand first 4 albums as Roger Jouret eventually recognised on the 28th of July 2010 that he never sung on his first four albums, including the mega hit Ça plane pour moi... https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ça_plane_pour_moi https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lou_Deprijck https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plastic_Bertrand
  10. That's a Stanley Clarke model with the point body (remember that you can order whatever shape you want by Alembic) as it doesn't have the hum-cancelling system, but the AXY pickups with the two filters and the two Q switches. So definitely a Stanley Clarke model.
  11. Urm, why is it credited to ... Santana ?
  12. Looks like the real Tony Levin Signature MusicMan. Beware, it can burn in the barn spontaneously.
  13. Mesa Boogie is the company @agedhorse has worked for, amongst others, certainly.
  14. Nothing.
  15. Indeed. If I remember correctly, I sold mine for 250 Euros in late 90's early 2000's... That said the delivery time for this reissue is ... 28 weeks, so better ordering now to be sure to get one, for those interested.
  16. I had an original one in the 90's, but never found the chorus that terrific for bass, but the flanger was indeed great. Now I have the JAM pedals Waterfall (Bass edition) which is just what I need as a chorus and a great vibrato too.
  17. Anything by Uzeb or EST, but these are bands where the bass (Alain Caron) or double bass (Dan Berglund) is totally integrated in the composition process. And those extraordinary albums : Adfa by Jonas Hellborg, Bass Time by Offground Tag, Bestial Cluster by Mick Karn, Discipline by King Crimson, East West by Bill Frisell, Hejira by Joni Mitchell, Rebirth by Aka Moon, Space Ritual by Hawkwind, Trio in Tokyo by Michel Petrucciani, Upper Extremities by Bruford Levin, Voice by Hiromi, We get Requests by The Oscar Peterson Trio. And a lot more...
  18. Nice lefty intonation. 🤣
  19. The hard case was extra too. In fact, everything was extra, except the strings.
  20. Lemmy tribute is always good !
  21. Wonderful, at least a readable text. Thanks."/[{\]}|~`™
  22. Shouldn't say it here, but I'm a huge jazz fan. What you don't want to listen to or haven't, I surely have, so you can tell it to the teachers you don't need to do it. Glad to see you back.
