  1. Hey Robbo Always remember, YouTube is your friend there's a great channel called Cover Solutions, where the lad does a play along to a wide range of songs with the tab running at the top of the screen. Best of both worlds as you get the exact notation and get to mirror his fingering. Good luck and enjoy!
  2. Similarly there's a German Fortress for sale in the BC marketplace for only £400 and a Rockbass up for £360... I do know the older necks have a different profile to the newer models. Don't ask me the difference, but I've a feeling the older ones are slimmer. I absolutely love mine, super comfy.
  3. Latest in the long line of very happy customers! John supplied a 62 Jazz stacked knob plate, quality is superb and it's really improved the tone of the bass. Top man, highly recommended!
  4. Why is this? I've been lucky enough to own a few (still have one) and they're really fantastic basses. Is it a style and fashion thing? If so, is the time to buy a future classic?
  5. Spotted this on eBay last week, listed as an American Deluxe, but it's clearly got an Indonesian Squire neck and certainly isn't a Deluxe. I'm doubtful if it's even a Fender body! I reported to ebay but it's still live... Why?? https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F273755648756
  6. That is a bargain. I've got one of these (mine's a 97) and it's a joy. The neck is pretty much perfect, nice and slim, super smooth and very playable. The body is so comfortable and it sits lovely on the strap and knee. Believe it or not, this was my weapon of choice for my last funk & soul band. It cuts through the mix beautifully, just enough treble and plenty of thump! Whoever buys this is getting an absolute belter, glwts!
  7. I imagine it would make some difference, not sure if it would be audible anywhere other than in the studio though, although I'd love to hear your thoughts if you do a/b them. My PJ Jazz has gone off with my tech today so I can't do any measurements until the weekend, but I assume it's either Reggie or Blacktop spec as the scratchplate doesn't look homemade. Hoping it's a Reggie as I want to get a tort plate for it 😬
  8. Looks like you're right. The Reggie Hamilton Jazz P pickup seems to be set back a little from the traditional P placement
  9. If I hadn't just bought a 60s Jazz modded to PJ, I'd be all over this.
  10. Heads up, theres a Fender Reggie Hamilton Jazz with PJ pups on ebay atm - https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F163583437859

  12. I've just picked up a used MIM Jazz which the previous owner has had converted to PJ. Could be an option if you get a reasonable priced Jazz and get the work done. I would think the conversion would be pretty straight forward, getting a scratch plate may be a bit of a hassle but not a huge deal.
  13. Genius! Stealing this thank you 😁 Now to find a android/Windows version of Capo translation software. Awesome post 👍🏻
  14. I own the 4 string "twin" of this bass and can honestly say, it's an absolute beast. Solid, beautiful to play, awesome sound, lovely neck, just an all round stunning bass. At this money, it's an absolute bargain! If I could cope with the extra string, I wouldn't hesitate to buy this. GLWTS!
  15. Really need this gone now, GAS has got the better of me... £450 and she's yours!!!!
  16. Hey Tim, another hopeful trade PM sent 😀
  17. After a surprisingly disappointing interaction with BD, the bass I was part-exing with was sold to someone else so the Warwick is still for sale...
  18. Last bump before I trade her in next week
  19. Awesome, closest I'll get to a yob too... You defo not interested in trades..? 😁
