  1. Was really gassing for this when I first saw/read about it. But after reading the reviews and seeing the demos (and the price) not so much now.
  2. Kaiser Chiefs last night. Mini gig album promotion thing. There was another gig after, 2nd house type thing. They played about 10 songs, some new and some classics. Not bad for a bunch of blokes.
  3. Not bad playing for a man.
  4. No. Black comfort strap for my basses with straplocks, and the widest strap available for those without. Although for rehearsals it's which strap scrunches up best to fit in the gig bag pocket.
  5. That's an episode of Rock Family Trees right there! 😁
  6. Didge Digital? I bought Tough It Out at the time. I remember Tommy Vance playing Bad Luck and saying "this time they're gonna make it!". Still a great album.
  7. Me too, but I literally don't have the space. Plus I've already got 2 amps and a combo.
  8. A similar thing happened to me once. En route to the gig and got the call it had been cancelled, so the band met up at another pub on the way. Where I had a chat with the landlord and booked 2 gigs there. So every cloud... 😆
  9. Panda Audio, because when I bought my Future Impact, I was unaware that to use it properly you have to buy more expensive gear. Apple. Just because I don't want to be locked in to their money grabbing incompatibility. The fruit market in a city up north, because over 40 years ago I bought a bag of oranges and half of them were off. Bob Dylan. For going electric.
  10. A talent scout from Arsenal arranged a trial for a friend of mine. He did well and they said they'd call him. That was nearly 30 years ago, he's wondering if he should give them a reminder?
  11. I once had (and this is verbatim ) "you were really great, you didn't get bottled or nuffink!".
  12. To be fair, the Lord is not a fan of the jazz or blues jam: Amos 6: 1. Woe to you who are complacent in Zion, and to you who feel secure on Mount Samaria, you notable men of the foremost nation, to whom the people of Israel come! 2 Go to Kalneh and look at it; go from there to great Hamath, and then go down to Gath in Philistia. Are they better off than your two kingdoms? Is their land larger than yours? 3 You put off the day of disaster and bring near a reign of terror. 4 You lie on beds adorned with ivory and lounge on your couches. You dine on choice lambs and fattened calves. 5 You strum away on your harps like David and improvise on musical instruments.
  13. So no mention of 😟
  14. Why? He had a life and career before The Beatles, and has done plenty since.
  15. Immortal Beloved 1994, quite good. Copying Beethoven 2006, not so good. Artist licence applied in both.
  16. By Cliff? Awesome song, sounds great rocked up 😎
  17. Figure it out - Royal Blood We're doing it with guitars, so a slightly different arrangement, but I've still got to learn it all.
  18. Get paid to do what I pay to do? Off course! I'd have to be earning enough to pay the bills though, and my times of kipping in the back of vans with the gear and other band members, are long gone.
  19. *cough* Pics! *cough*
  20. Anything would probably sound good after that 😜
  21. When recording, is it a thing to double the double bass with electric bass (or the other way round) ? Not in a Walk on the Wildside way, but playing the same thing. Are there any examples? Ta!
  22. Great price for a great gig bag. Yup I've got one! GLWTS.
  23. Decent speakers, regular tuning, and an octave pedal 😉
  24. Paging @Happy Jack
