No DI out and if I put the bass through a DI box it will be dry through the PA, as the amp modeling and fx's are generated by the head. There is a digital out - for recording - but this cuts the sound to the speaker.

DI not possible with my amp/combo. No DI out, and as it's a modelling amp, a DI box would not be giving my sound. But the OP was about YOU and your Mic preferences!

Neds Atomic Dustbin had 2 basses. Lemmy plays 'rhythm bass', no distortion but lots of Mids.

I've bought a fx pedal from the eBay. It doesn't work as one of the wires to the battery connection has come off. Is this an easy fix? The seller has said I can have a full refund, but I've been after the pedal for a while and they don't come up very often, so I'd rather keep it. Ta.
