for anyone thinking of doing a first build i can't recommend fuzz dogs pedal parts strongly enough yes you have to do a bit of thinking but with the instructions and the pcb's don't rush it even a total novice like me can end up with fully functioning pedals 1 blueberry boutique version and 1 exotic bb no pictures yet, the blueberry got left naked and the bb well i experimented, could have been better but it will do

next one under way another fuzz dog kit. its juicy and blue and all being well berrylicious. to be honest for a complete novice i think the kits are ideal. a bit like painting by numbers with solder.

[/quote] a gig bag would be fine for for gigs where i take my car. some gigs we all travel in the drummers van, on those occasions would much rather have a hard case. i have it in a hard case at the minute but i don't particularly trust it. if its stood at anywhere near upright when it's opened,it wants to slide out. i know the spector cases are a snug fit so i think that's probably the safest bet. and back in stock at thomann, sorted

thank you sir. package arrived got one of his tester thingy's will do that first i would class myself as ok with a soldering iron, but have never soldered components to circuit board before. some of the holes are really close together, can see some sweary moments coming

got a couple of kits on the way from fuzz dog. couple of questions before they get here. I've read through most of this thread, but couldn't find the answers. the enclosures. do any of you use an etching primer before spraying ? the vinyl decal / t shirt transfer method, just checked my printer don't suppose anyone knows if this method would work with a bubble jet printer ? cheers tony

thanks for the replies, budget is not really relevant, being able to see the display clearly is the main priority. and i could probably deal with tuning to H as long as i can tell if it's sharp or natural the polytune and pitchblack both show the sharp more clearly than the boss and i reckon i could probably get by with either, but realistically my eyes ain't gonna better, and i could end up needing to replace it in a few years time as far as i can tell the korg dt10 has a little dot like the boss the snark's display looks nice and big, the way you can see the parts of the display, that aren't lit up in the picture below. makes me wonder if it could cause me problems in bright light ? same applies to the planet waves if i take my glasses off and look at the picture below the one i can see the clearest is the 2nd left it's a monoprice brand, which looks identical to a modtone tuner, the stagg tuner i linked in 1st post and also a warwick branded tuner [url="http://www.thomann.de/gb/warwick_rocktuner_pt_2_black.htm"]http://www.thomann.d..._pt_2_black.htm[/url] the reviews on thomann look pretty good, has anybody had any experience with the warwick rocktuner cheers tony tc electronic monoprice boss tu2 pitchblack pw ct04 korg dt10 snark

have been using a boss tu2 for years which i've been perfectly happy with. my problem is, as it's got older the little dot that represents a sharp note has become less visible. yeah ok then [b]as I've[/b] got older it's become less visible. Blue [/quote] practice every other week, we only do the gigs we want to do. none of that "can you turn down they can't hear coronation street in the back room" bullshit for me gig count way down this year, due to unfortunate circumstances 4 months of nothing only 11 gigs this year, lowest payers £50 biggest £250 averages out at about £77 per gig according to google the average uk salary is £26,500 per year. to make that at £77 per gig i would have to do 344 gigs per year to make an average living in the uk to make the same money doing 75 gigs a year, the gigs would have to pay an average of £353.33 seeing as thats not going to happen any time soon, think i'll stick to the day job have a decent standard of living, and enjoy my boys nights out. is it any wonder that bands are so keen to make it in america
