  1. Blimey, you have mates in all the right places lol. Last week i got a 2020 iPad Pro 12.9”. Not a huge step up from my existing 2017 model, but some nice improvements none the less. I kept running you out of space on my 64GB, so was intending to get something with more space. Sitting around all day got the better of me so I dug out a credit card and hit the buy button. No regrets.
  2. Dunno, who? 😂 Although I like to dabble in GB, last year I brought a cheap Zoom R8. Basically a digital portastudio. Proper sliders and built in drum machine, basic amp sims etc. Not bad for £140. I thought it would be easier to use than using my iPad. In a way it is, it’s more immediate, but it seems really strange using something that isn’t connected to the rest of the world. A bit old skool
  3. I’ve just started using my Scarlett 2i2 with my new iPad and I’m amazed how well it works, doesn’t even need a psu as it’s bus powered. I hope you get it sorted. This should be our most creative time.
  4. Unfortunately im not that good with GB, although i can find my way around it. Sounds more like a iOS issue though. First steps would be to re start the phone. Maybe delete GB and re install. Could also be the interface. when i use a certain interface with my ipad it causes all manor of hang ups and stuttering. Not so with with 2i2 though. Have you tried using the built in mic? just wondering if that helps, although obviously not the answer. It might show where the fault is coming from. It does seem to be running ok on my XS Max, and even my sons 6S.
  5. When I first heard the haircut video a while a go I was quite surprised how well the audio worked. This was with my Bose QC35’s. Just listened on my cheaper in ears that I use for the gym and although still convincing, not quite as detailed. Quite a lot of those videos sound quite convincing to me. I think it helps to have visuals as well, as this helps the brain position what you are hearing. Not to sure about the music tracks of Spotify etc. Without knowing where the instruments are supposed to be its harder to track them. Cool effect though and it does seem to open up the mix, but also adds a lot of extra phase shifting.
  6. Haha, I noticed John had gone a while ago. Not sure if he was banned or just got fed up being the only one that was right all the time lol. Had some good chats with him though.
  7. These will go well with the Sue Ryder basses 😏

What tone are you looking for? Each will give you a different tone. Lots of love for the Yamaha BB range around here, but if you want a Stingray tone then the BB is not the one to get. It might be worth getting this moved to a more relevant forum, maybe the Bass guitar one 😉
  9. I dont know how Android phones work, but if you can record in to the phone using the headphone socket then I can’t see why not.
  10. I felt the same with the Fearless cab I had for a while. Lovely tone but for at least, a problematic low end. First thing I would suggest is using the global HPF, and maybe set it a bit higher than you might normally have it. Must admit I never found the ideal setting with my cab. Flat or full range just isn’t for me.
  11. Yep, got a few myself already, I just think the advertising is a bit out of date.
  12. Yeah, that make a bit more sense actually. I missed the recording bit.
  13. My usual mode of practice is bass and iPad in to the Stomp, and headphone out from that. I have no complaints and it keeps things simple. I was thinking of doing some recording in to garage band, so went looking for a way to get audio in to that without spending any more money (I don’t have the correct cable to use my iRig HD with my new iPad). It’s more an experiment than anything else, as I also have a Zoom R8 multi track recorder which is a bit more convenient.
  14. Yeah, I’ve found using my 2i2 with the Stomp to be a bit more user friendly, for the reasons you state.
  15. The advertising is a bit off IMO.
  16. If Kenny’s run out, Amazon have them as well. About a 14 day wait though.......oh, and £105 plus £15 postage 😂😂😂😂
  17. The iOS thing seems to be a bit of a marketing thing, it looks just like it’s a 1/8 in and nothing iOS specific. Also a pain to use with a current iOS device without an adapter as they don’t have a headphone out. There is no USB at all on these devices.
  18. I know Tim has many fans on here. Just came across his rig rundown video. Lots of Tech 21 stuff, as expected, although not plugged in.
  19. Kenny’s was the place I got a really good deal on my P34. Only ever used them that one time but the service was great.
  20. Just a FYI. Not sure if this has been mentioned, or even if anyone cares, but I just found out that my Stomp works as an audio interface with my iPad Pro. It’s not perfect, due to what seems to be a lack of record volume control on the iPad, but Ive managed to record a 3 track project in Garage band without issues. Will investigate more later tonight. This came about with me wanting to use my Scarlett interface with the iPad, which also works perfectly well.
  21. Wow, that is a chunky bridge. That photo makes it look like your kitchen work surface has a bass bridge attached lol.
  22. Can you shim the neck? If it’s not a through neck then put a piece of business card in the neck pocket and that will allow you to raise the saddles and still have a low action. I actual do this to all my basses (not done the Yamahas yet though). It also gives a more consistent action along the whole neck.
  23. I wonder how many times we will hear that Sorrow fill in other songs now. I’m trying to get it to fit in Mustang Sally 😂
  24. Have you tried the synth patches on the Dr Tonelab website?
