  1. Never had any issues with DV247 over the years, but all the times ive had have come from Germany. I’d be a bit more cautious now, though. I believe even G4M has a warehouse in Central Europe, so it pays to check the in stock and delivery options.
  2. Yeah, i get the need for a solid connection for critical use, but music videos? We have a Virgin media SH3, but its only used in modem mode. This feeds a low end Nighthawk R8000. The two are very solid and quite often we get fester than we pay for, even on Wifi. Ive always kept a very close eye on download speeds at home. That comes from years of Usenet and seeing the download speed displayed. Its quite surpassing the number of people that done check their speed regularly.
  3. My home PC is wired directly to my hub, in the same room. I guess it is faster, but with my ipad and iphone (and all other things wifi) getting over 27MB/s, with a ping of around 9ms, I don’t see the benefit of having wires all over the flat. Amazed to hear there is such a difference in music quality just by going to a wired connection. I can understand that latency will be better on wired, but with a decent wifi router there shouldn’t much difference in speed.
  4. Just wanted to add this, then ill shut up and go back to my keyboard corner 😁 While I understand what you are saying, or quoting, these are quotes from Alex on the BF website in regards to the BB2 (a 1x12). Anyone using a good 2x12" or 4x10" but wanting deeper cleaner lows and more accurate mids and treble without any loss of loudness. It's the first 1x12" to compete with great 2x12" and 4x10" cabs for tone, bottom and loudness It's so sensitive you can gig with a 150W amp but it'll handle 800W amps without complaint for maximum output and headroom
  5. Agree, and as i gigged both the CN212 and F112, and rehearsed a lot with both, i can say that there is a noticeable difference between the sound of the two cabs, and how the bass sounds, but not volume wise, at least, i never had to turn one up louder than the other. Very different sound signatures though, and I preferred the less in your face CN212. Obviously having 2 drivers will mean it can go louder, but no one runs their rig flat out, especially with a 800watt amp, even in to 8 ohms. I think sensitivity is more important than watts and ohms.
  6. it breaks my heart to sell it, but i need the money, and dont plan on playing bass live for a very long time. At least i achieved tone nirvana with my current rig, and now have no need to mess with it. im going out on top lol. The GK L8 was fantastic, but i felt too over priced for what it offered over what i had. Very, very happy with the Fender now, at less than half the price.
  7. I was rehearsing just before the first lock down with a GK MB200 and my CN212, and never maxed the head out with the band. Admittedly its not quite a gig situation, although i do tend to run my rigs at the same volume as most gigs (due to the drummer always playing as hard as he can). When i had my GK Legacy 800 i could tell it had a lot more punch than my MB800, so these are very loud amps.
  8. Why do you want a head with a tube in it?
  9. What gigs do you use that much power at, and why so much headroom on an amp that is designed to break up and be pushed?
  10. Yep, spent almost 30mins trying to nail the intro to Town Called Malice earlier this week (not played bass for 6 months), ended up editing the notes afterwards in Cubase to make me sound good 😁 Ive been playing it for years, never thought i had a problem until i tried to record it.
  11. Very nice. I’m a sucker for blue LED’s 😁
  12. I just remembered i used to have a Yamaha RX21 decades ago, IIR that was a real nightmare to use, although back then we just got on with it. These days I’m struggling with Groove Agent. Its very powerful but not quite as intuitive as it could be,.
  13. Changed my mind for now, no longer for sale.
  14. I go this a few weeks ago from PMT as i had some recording to do and my 2i4 was on loan. The plan was to sell the 2i4 when i got it back, but it has features I’d rather not give up, so selling the Solo instead. I’m happy to keep it as it works well with my iPad Pro, but thought someone else might get more use out of it Obviously its as new, its just been sitting on my desk. Comes with box and all the paperwork/cable. Looking for £75 firm, and ill include 1st class post to mainland UK if needed. It has been registered on my account, but ill see if i can un register it. Happy to help with any of the downloads if needed. Website info here https://focusrite.com/en/usb-audio-interface/scarlett/scarlett-solo These are my photos of the actual unit.

Video review is up for those interested.
  17. Yeah, I thought you might mean me. For me personally I’d get this over the LT if there was at least £100 difference (for example). I hate paying for things I don’t use, and im sure many of us don’t use even 50% of what these things can do, probably a lot less. While you could argue that that what you get for that £100 more is better value, it’s not logical to me to pay £100 more for even more features I wouldn’t use or want.
  18. This would be the exact reason i would go for this. I almost went for a Pod Go last year. I loved the Stomp but needed more buttons for live use AND Amp/Cab sims for home use. The Stomp has less buttons, the HFX has no amp sims as such. What put me off the PG was that it had the expression pedal. Something i would never use. Obviously i could just not use it, but it seemed like a waste and made things larger than maybe they needed to be. The XL would have been perfect, but as has been said, its a bit too expensive if it seems for the projected price. I’d still get this over the LT though, for the reasons above. Even if the prices were close. Not that i need it now, but a year ago I’d be all over this.
  19. Apparently Boris was there, because it’s a all his fault after all.......😂
  20. Ive had this for a few years. Its never caused meany issues in around 50 gigs, other than the XLR doesn’t seem to work. I only found this out a couple of years ago when the one and only time I decided to plug it in showed me its not working. Probably came like this but too long to claim warranty, and to be honest i never use DI from any amp. Now i dont use the amp at all so it needs to go. It does have scratches on it. Nothing serious, but the photos dont really show them. They do show that there are no major marks or bumps etc. Its just surface scratches.its been gigged after all. Comes with foot switch, lead and power cable. I can throw in a short speaker cable as well. Looking for around £290. Happy to take offerers but not silly ones. I still have the box so happy to post, and ill inc that in the price to mainland UK. I will not post overseas. Will do a discount for collection from somewhere in central london. Not looking for anything, I’m having a clear out as it is.

  21. The pubs and restaurants were not to blame, it was the Mr and Mrs Silly Billy visiting them that forced the government to close them down. If we agree wearing face masks in public and keeping our distance from others works, it’s obvious why places like pubs and places selling booze were shut. Its not the government, its people not giving a toss, and this is more likely to happen when you have had a few drinks. Pretty bloody obvious IMO.
  22. Nooo, ours were conversations, not just a one off discussion. It went on for months on and off 😁
  23. My Jazz also doesn’t get that tone, and thats why its better for me than the Xotic,
