  1. I kept my BDDI when i got my Stomp, its been my fav pedal over the years. Ive had 3, and this last one was a v2. I realised a few weeks ago i haven’t actually used it since getting the Stomp, as ive been using the Stomp version (normally always on). Finally sold it this week.
  2. Not seen much talk of this (might have missed it of course). Looks like a very capable Stomp alternative, even has a bass mode (inc BDDI sim). Less ‘named’ sims, and less overall compared to the Stomp, but does have a cool VU meter. https://www.boss.info/global/products/gt-1000core/?fbclid=IwAR34FHJdvyW6Y5gNn1ebhasZbq3rLDeFFk6qDkF-7FFlTwoAcjskf2wFans
  3. Ive just realised i still have an empty Metro 16 with Cioks DC-5 under it. Maybe one day ill fill it again.
  4. Well the Stomp has a great tuner in it, and if you dont need XLR out the Stomp also has the older BDDI in it.
  5. Haha, all i meant was I’m used to hearing him sing it, i just wanted more of Gaga’s voice.
  6. Yes, I’m a very confused guy lol. I like to maximise my purchases, so prefer something like headphones to cover more than just music making, but with the emphasis on this. I wanted ‘true’, but not so flat that its boring and i need to enjoy the sound. As it will be music along with my keyboard i wanted something that wasn’t flat, but i did want flat for mastering our rehearsal and gig recordings. The top 3 that kept coming up for studio use were all those ive mentioned above. Out of the 2 idid try my HD25’s sounded the most full and balanced, without sounding like general music headphones. Very nice mid range, and tight, but not deep bass. Only downside to the HD25’s is they are on ear, so not the best for tracking etc, although sitting in our living room with these, and also the others i had, the noise of the TV seemed to be about the same, so not bad for on ears.
  7. What stuck me was a not so much she could hit the notes, but she did it in a way that suited the song. Ive seen quite a few ‘collaborations’ like this, where the guest singer has just come along and sung whatever song in her own style. Sometimes it just seems like two different songs. Gaga made it so she was part of the song. I liked that.
  8. Who said I didn’t? Certainly not me.
  9. So there is a god 😂
  10. Wishful thinking maybe ......😮
  11. I wouldn’t have said she was dressed up as such, just dressed the part. I can imagine her going down to Starbucks afterwards wearing the same outfit lol.
  12. Yep, I’m a big fan of her’s. Not just for the voice though 😬
  13. Yes, the 32’s do sound different apparently, but most don’t seem to recommend them. It is very confusing, and very personal. So many people love the DT770’s, but i just didnt get on with them. For me the m50x had a great sound, lovely low end. Also felt better on the head. I just couldnt decide what i wanted. I was primarily getting them to use for playing my keyboards at home, but also wanted to be able to use them for general music as i liek to play along with YT/Spotify etc. Obviously monitor headphones arent ideal for playing general music, they sound a bit flat. I ended up sending the m50x back as well. Definitely the best i tried, but ended up feeling i was wasting money as i have the HD25’s. Then over the weekend i re ordered the m50x, as i was missing them, then cancelled it, then ordered a pair of Sen280 pros for £75 from GAK, then cancelled those lol. Sticking with the 25’s for now. Its a shame i didnt get to try the 280’s, maybe i will at some point. It seems you cant go wrong with those for tracking, and at that price much cheaper than the other two i had. If i didnt have the 25’s I’d definitely get the m50x again.
  14. She has gone up in my estimation. I know she has talent, but i didn’t realise she could sing like this.
  15. I know its old, but ive not seen this one before. What a great ‘rock’ voice. Never noticed she could do this before. She even appreciates the bass player 😁
  16. Just sold Dave my treasured BDDI. Great comm’s and couldn’t have asked for a better transaction. Also one of the very few recently that let me know the item had arrived, which is always appreciated. Have fun with it mate.
  17. My covers band will make a killing.....😂
  18. No, its not that. Ive used them with headphones all the time at home, from day one, almost daily. If a re boot fixes it i must have the correct settings already. Thanks anyway.
  19. Only issue ive had with my Stomp (which was used but works fine) is 3 or 4 times, in the 18 months or so that ive and it, ive noticed no sound output through my headphones (no idea about the main outs). Had to reboot each time. I put this down to bugs in the FW rather than mechanical though. Luckily with the latest FW version i can see that the input is receiving a signal, so that cuts down on the fault finding. Its not happen for a while though.
  20. No problem with the delivery, the biscuits covered that lol. Yes, the SY-1 was very impressive. Ive only used the Helix sub and was quite happy with that, but the SY-1 seemed a lot tighter and solid. Very impressed with how low it went. I can see a good cab or two getting ruined if that was used in a live situation at a decent volume.
  21. Thanks. Yes, definitely going to see if the Stomp works before moving forward. The two options I have without spending is try the Stomp, and take one of our own PA cabs, as I know they are better. Downside to that is playing in mono (I’m not going to take two), which is fine as I can use it like a combo. I think this is the best solution anyway, as it will also get me used to using them for our gigs in the future. It will still need EQ so I’ll still need to take the Stomp anyway, and I do want to know if I can fix the issue with the studio PA. When I started the thread I was adamant I wasn’t going to use the Stomp, but with its headphone amp and separate volume control I don’t think there is anything else that can touch it.
  22. Whatever the email notification takes me to.
  23. On a slightly different note, has anyone listened to/seen the iHeart Radio Music Festival 2020 recordings on YT? Obviously done in a closed studio, but some idiot has overdubbed a large crowd clapping and cheering over all the performances. Its like canned laughter, only more fake.
