  1. Close...
  2. No idea if it's daft or genius but I'd pay hard-earned cash to attend every one of your gigs especially if you do One Nation Under a Groove and It's Raining Men.
  3. Ahhh, cheers @Jack, that was the problem I was thinking of, I obviously read about it as it was just starting to be talked about and people were panicking.
  4. Hmmmm, I read something, somewhere that the firmware sometimes bricked the speakers, it was later iterations than mine, which is why I have updated mine. I'll try and find the source of this.
  5. I should know that, as I subsequently bought it off you!
  6. You lot are talking me into a K10.2 which, if I'm not mistaken, was what inspired @Bridgehouse to start this thread up.
  7. I have the QSC K12.2 and the guitarist in my duo has the K10.2, we both use the default setting.
  8. The @Jabba_the_gut builds are things of utter beauty. I'll PM you.
  9. I used a HX Stomp with two piezo basses, not uprights, but semi-hollow bodied. I too suffered with the same many-parametered madness that struck @keeponehandloose. I ended up with a Grace Design Alix plus a compressor through which an upright sounds glorious.
  10. You are welcome to try it out if you haven't tried a shorter fretless. It's a Jabba build.
  11. I play a 32" lined fretless and use a capo on some songs... No idea why I typed that.
  12. Ah, I'm in Southend, you are still welcome of course!
  13. Where are you based? You are welcome to try mine out.
  14. Thanks to this thread I now run... Bass > Grace Design Alix > Effectrode PC-2A Compressor > QSC K12.2 ...if there is PA support I use the QSC as a monitor and run a line out of it to the desk or if there's no PA I just use it as backline. I used to go... Bass > HX Stomp > QSC K12.2 ...also a great option.
  15. I realise the HX Stomp has much more than you need but it is a very good option that'll do exactly what you are after and there is also huge potential in it should you need it in the future. I had 'scenes' for each song that I simply moved through as per the set. I used a fraction of it's spec, slight variations in EQ, and amp models, very subtle effects here and there. What I'm saying is don't rule it out because it can do loads of things you don't currently need when it will do exactly what you want now extremely well. Also it is great fun to just muck about with and you have lots of users/experts on here who are willing to help out when/if you get stuck with something.
  16. I put the mockers on it...
  17. The title of Michael Bublé's forthcoming autobiography, there.
  18. Is there going to be a 2024 Midlands Bash? Thoroughly enjoyed the last one.
  19. That sounds like a pretty close description of the PC-2A!
  20. Yes, very organic and round. It was a compressor that @Osiris suggested as he is familiar with our music and it was a perfect recommendation.
  21. Firstly, paging @Osiris Secondly I have the Effectrode PC-2A. I play semi-hollow short scale basses in an acoustic duo and the mellow warmth of the PC-2A is second to none, lovely. Where are you @bassjamm? You are welcome to try it out any time.
  22. Ah, except I was the drummer for Ian Jury and the Blockheads along with Roy What? Normandy on bass.
  23. I specifically bought the Waza Craft tuner because it matched my preamp, but then I bought a white compressor... 🙄
