Hi, the other wrist doesn't have a lump on it. This is the source of the pain in my left wrist when using it on the fretboard.
Apologies I missed the bit on the first page where you mentioned you've had it for ages. Still think it would be good to try & help clear it up as well though?

Don't see what switching to a left hand bass would achieve in the long run? If you don't address the problem right now then what's to stop it from then happening to the other wrist as well?

Mexican Jazz -- SOLD - thank you for the overwhelming interest guys
joe_bass replied to joe_bass's topic in Basses For Sale
Whoahhh Didn't expect it to be this popular. Is like £230 new in Andertons in Guildford?? Apologies but I sold this yesterday to the guitarist in my band after mentioning the price I'd put it on here for. I would reply to PM's but theres been so many. Sorry for the delay in an update, an afternoon in Guildford became a whole day after the driver got lost, twice. -
***************************SOLD*********************************** Heya guys looking for a quick sale on my Fender Mexican Jazz. Have just got myself an American so need to shift this. Am away next week so ideally would like to get rid of it by the end of this week. It was bought back in about 2003, new from GAK in Brighton. I tried more than a couple of Mexi's that day & decided that feel wise, look wise etc this was the nicest one there. It's a great example of a Mexican Fender with a lovely smooth neck. The scratch plate is a replacement black/white/black one from WD Music which fits perfectly, looks great I hope you agree! I can always dig out the original white one though if preferred. The bass is in good condition with just a couple of minor knicks. I'll be sad to see this go as it has a lot of sentimental value to me & is a great little player. However as previously mentioned I now have an American jazz (photos in seperate thread later!) so this is not needed. Will be willing to sell this for say £165 + p&p for a bass chat member. However if there isn't much interest by tonight then I'll be putting it on Ebay. Thanks for looking guys. Will get hold of some bigger photos later if needed. EDIT: just to mention this is fitted with gold strings at present. Welcome back Sarah, Wondered where you'd suddenly gone after you were always around a lot in the summer (school holidays I assume?) Hope everything works out. -
I've met martial arts experts who I'd expect to stay calm like that in a confrontation & I've also met ones who I'd think would probably unleash hell on an opponent at the first push. The guy probably stayed calm because he knew how the situation would unfold & how that kid would react etc, if the kid had pulled a knife say then obviously it would be a different story. If you end up in court over an altercation & you practice a martial art it can go against you.

Love videos like that, theres some great ones around. Other than "fookin coom on" I couldn't make out a word he was saying though.
Ah I see you are reading this Jake - simple question, when are you going to pay back the shipping costs that the community has funded on your behalf?
Looks like the moment's come & gone (to speak.) Funny how something that united the community a couple of days ago is tending to split it now, now that the opinions are coming out (said with a touch of exaggeration of course! ) -

Was going to ask this. Is Jake paying you back in time or something Rob? -
I'm sure you guys have got it all covered by now but if not, then I'm quite close to Brighton and am happy to help if I can.
Just to echo what Nik has said I'm also close & am going backwards & forwards from Hove a lot at the moment so if needs be I would be happy to go over. Hope it all goes smoothly from here. -
I've found this is usually the remark of a noobie guitarist.
Yep, the Thumbs have managed to force me to improve my technique. They're still heavy b@stards though. Anyway, good luck with the sale. Would be tempted myself but my bass spending is done for the forseeable future. Have a bump. As for price (which I think is fair), you could just take it out of the equation and aim for a straight swap for a Streamer Stage 1.....
One more wouldn't hurt! Yeah the Thumb has forced me to change technique in the right hand as with the small body I've been draping my hand over the top which has led to pains. However I can't see a way around the left hand problem with this instrument. Do the streamer stage 1s have less chunky necks then? If there are models in Warwick's range like this then I would be happy to consider!
