1.
Thanks for the mention . I'd be glad to help, pm me if you'd like more details.
We talked about a sunburst nitro relic p if you recall
2. Do a forum search - people talk about them a lot
3. Yes a jap 62 reissue P that I stupidly sold on Partner said "keep it if you like it" but we were a bit strapped and I passed the chance up
4. Thanks to OHM for taking the time to add that, @dood if you don't find it fits, send it back to me unused and all It will cost you is the postage
5.
Are these guards exact Fender USA Precision replicas? (To fit USA Standard Precision holes etc)
I will ask the guys who bought them what models they fitted them to. Mine is a bass doc model so I couldn't say for certain and wouldn't want to mislead you. One commented that it was a perfect fit but I didn't ask to what. They are noticeably heavier than your average aftermarket plate
6. I've played both and the classic 50s was a smidge better -awesome pickup
7.
I'm with most others here. Over the years I've an occasional acoustic itch & had a number of acoustics which I've tried to like .. but didnt. I had one of these for a while.. the colour was the best thing about it.
Clucking bell!
8.
I bought one just after Xmas when I was thinking of making a bass - it's ok actually nice rosewood and profile - nut looks a bit cheap and the heel profile isn't quite a perfect match for a Fender socket but nothing a bit of sanding wouldn't sort. Never actually tried it on a body as I gave up trying to make a guitar but looks alright to me. I expect it will be appearing in the assorted musical bits for sale shortly
Colour me interested
9. can you get blocked / bound necks too ?
10. if you need it really big, could you use a headstock string retainer. ? same screw should fit through
11. get them to mark it as a "gift", value £15
12.
Looks like I'll get to be the BC guinea pig then.
Blazing a trail is the way I see it...
13. Would you also need to shorten the lower frets? I'd just see what happens with £30
14. I'm also interested to know if they are any good
15. People rescue barn-find cars. As long as its truly unplayable, I don't see the issue personally if you're actually rescuing it from being firewood essentially
16. Hi - I have two sets spare, prices include postage These are listed elsewhere so may disappear Edit: one set left
17. Glad you're happy with it
18. Volume (unamplified) will not compete with even one acoustic guitar
