Red or brown I have actual celluloid available, poured, not printed as you can see from the depth of the top layer I just rubbed some brown shoe polish on the white Black white layer and it looks fairly convincing as “old”. You can’t make proper old style celluloid now as the chemical they used are noxious (I understand)

I’d leave it you can get stud extractors that work well or use a dremel to cut a flat head

If you check my jazz bass build thread that’s exactly what I used - be very careful about your choice of undercoat colour - good advice given in that thread by the folks on here. My friend wouldn’t stop either - he was literally like a brother to me, much nicer than my actual brother and just what I wanted one to be. He was an only child and said the same thing. Still miss him now dead at 35
