  1. Turmeric with curcumin helps - needs a month before you see a difference in arthritis also ask your GP if there is a hand clinic at your local hospital-I had a tendon loosening operation on my right hand wrist which took away all tingling, chills and numbness instantly -op took ten minutes under local anaesthetic
  2. This. I got some from bc member matte_black
  3. And speaking very slowly … and saying “no, you’re not too loud, honestly” when they get all cross
  4. @ead I’m impressed you’ve managed to train a guitarist… I thought they were only capable of fetching sticks
  5. I bought a lovely hartke amp off him.
  6. There’s lots of US members on here, you’re not alone maybe they are talkbass-refugees?
  7. Wow 14 years dead and you revived the thread … well done The late mr oldgit was a very nice man - he sold me a lovely jazz bass and was charming throughout
  8. I have that also. Funky Nassau at the end is amazing. And it has BB king
  9. I quite fancy one to use and as an investment. I’m leaving something of my old life behind; it was traumatic and some money will come of it. Maybe retail therapy will help as I’ll have got something (nice) out of it
  10. Or you happen to be prone to it
  11. I do wonder if keeping a thumb resting on the cover and not moving it might lead to problems longer term compared to keeping your thumb mobile along with all your fingers caveat : I’m not medical but I’ve had a lot of hand problems arise from immobility and lack of use however if the pup cover rest thing works for anyone reading and they have no reason not to use it, go right ahead
  12. I’m sure artec make such a saddle piezo- I connected mine to a probably fake Fishman preamp (bass came with the saddle fitted, I swapped out the existing preamp)
  13. Agree - that’s respectable
  14. Suspect it will sell sooner
  15. Might be coming into some money soon - would have bought this if it had already occurred
  16. As I know to my cost. By the time they’d finished “carefully transporting” my prose bass it looked like it had been machine-gunned
  17. I hope I’ve processed that wrong ..
  18. This is called GAS - gear acquisition syndrome - rarely seen round these parts (said he, sarcastically).
  19. Welcome - you night want to learn a bit of set-up as you can often get action much lower. I bought a jazz bass once that needed six turns before it became usable - a bus would have fitted under.
  20. You’d let a guitarist touch anything of yours ? 🥺
  21. But also less dead … which can only be a good thing
  22. I fixed a ski ramp on the neck of my p bass with help from others here i also roll my own neck edges and do fret work
  23. Just fitted the cheapo Olympia set 40-100. They seem quite high tension shocked at how the acoustic sound of the bass has changed. Not amplified it yet
  24. Poor cat … hope it went to a good home
  25. @nikon Fthere you go
