  1. That’s a lot of kit for the money … is it any good for metal?
  2. I value highly my degree in David beckham studies 😡 actually I don’t have one of those actually real degrees, I just have a totally Mickey Mouse law degree
  3. Stack of tuition books that you’ve yet to write ?
  4. Well not-said that man
  5. I haven’t heard you mention guitars even once, so you’re golden
  6. He’s no good for metal :rolleyes we wait all this time for an answer to The Question and it’s “not very”. How f ucking rock and roll is that? … Answer I suppose is “not very” 😔
  7. Any woman who will step into the breach and save the day, especially one who’ll take on drumming a gig, must be pretty damn good. I’d live with the swearing
  8. She sounds perfect. Apart from the verbal abuse, but otherwise perfect
  9. Maybe he was taking his time to make up his mind I didn’t spot that either …. Curses
  10. I’ve played one of these in PMT Leeds and it was amazing
  11. I had a Westone spectrum guitar in white, 2 x humbuckers and it was definitely okay. (I know, a guitar, I mean WTF was I thinking?) 🤨 @cathal you have to remember that in the 80s CNC machining was in its infancy and instruments were more variable in workmanship as humans did more of it. It might be a good one if it were me, I’d pay the asking price but with a setup, fret dress and new strings thrown in
  12. I’m down to two and an acoustic guitar that I share
  13. Not me - I still have the same basses I had years ago
  14. Years. I have children and so neither time, not money. Talent deficiency however is not down to them
  15. Possibly you’re right / rummaging around for those photos knocked something back into place
  16. It’s stopped mysteriously - unsure why
  17. Does the top horn sunburst look a bit sharp ? not seen one like that though maybe a bit variable Obviously not OE pickups
  18. Yes the charges can be quite insane £12 “handling” on a declared £20 item is not unusual i imported a bridge and it cost double after charges
  19. Think HMRC are just pushing things through charge-wise at moment - lack of people
  20. Ooh 🍿time IMHO there is a small difference these days but its minimal at best and not worth the extra ££ mex instruments are IME fine in quality now, I see US as not consistently well made as they should be for the price asked
  21. Should I ever have free time before I’m old and grey 🤔I’d actually like to do both
  22. No - that’s for fine tuning the drop. There’s a lever on the side of the bridge 🌉
  23. Yes I really do get by with two basses, a single zoom and a little amp 🤔
  24. I’ve got my bass out of it’s cupboard storage after a mere four years of non stop diy on a money pit house. Leftfield choice … I’m learning Surrender by U2 - it has slap, harmonics and a good finger style groove also and is not over-challenging to my very out of practice fingers. Now I just need to recall how to count to 4 … just out of shot to left, right and behind (mostly) is just some of the kid-detritus that I’ve yet to shift on eBay …
