1. I DID IT!!! I stacked my two Markbass Traveller 210 cabs vertically and I actually preferred having at head height, I could hear myself in the mix much better, with the cabs 6inches away from the wall the ports didn't suffer I still had good bottom
2. My taste is x2 210 Markbass cabs so I can split for smaller gigs, nice a portable
3. T-Wrex by ThorpyFx Fantastic box of gain, literally so much gain on tap even in the low gain mode. I purchased it from Adrian at ThorpyFx about a year ago and used it at home, due to selling my guitar gear and focusing on bass its been sat in the box in the draw with a Pastie Drive (Paisley Drive clone) that I love! Sadly for me but luckily for you these one is up for grabs. ThorpFx are now making there own pedals and have stopped doing clones and as far as I'm aware this was the only T-Wrex made? so I don't think you'll won't find another one. Instead of the rubbish Wampler Contour Boost this has a Svex SHO Boost Circuit with buckets of volume!! The Gain & Boost can be used independently. Like the Svex SHO there is a crackle when you turned the knob and the boost is engaged so I just set it off then compared by engaging. Finished in Orange Sparkle with box and control layout. Controls: (From top left across) Volume > Gain High/Low > Gain Boost Vol > Treble > Middle > Bass Powers only by 9V PSU Boss style adaptor NOT 9V cell 24hr Courier extra £7.00 Manufacturer - http://thorpyfx.com

5.
what was the problem?
In my haste and being confused by the mono wiring diagram supplied, despite the diagram having coloured notations, wired the earth shield and tip on the jack wrong way round lol Works perfectly now and sounds great

7.
Love it! is it still available for sale?
It's still available
8.
Looks great from those updated pics. If you have to replace all the hardware it'll still be a bargain if the woodwork is solid.
Yes I'm interested to see what size the pickups are, maybe some emgs will fit?
9. When it arrives I will probably do an unboxing and demo video and upload some high res pics
10. So I got some pics today of my bass still being built, so far it looks good, the seller has estimated a week until it's finished. http://i1272.photobucket.com/albums/y382/mikeoranage/Mobile%20Uploads/E4A99E44-BC2C-46EE-AC12-6FF1459D5ABB_zpsu37lmfvy.jpg http://i1272.photobucket.com/albums/y382/mikeoranage/Mobile%20Uploads/869028C1-ED70-4208-97A9-3A6BFBAA2C20_zpsxmorgbri.jpg http://i1272.photobucket.com/albums/y382/mikeoranage/Mobile%20Uploads/A105FACA-42A8-44A4-92AA-9FFB1D9CDE56_zpsanocbyiz.jpg http://i1272.photobucket.com/albums/y382/mikeoranage/Mobile%20Uploads/78F9A6EC-3295-4E29-B4BE-D8E26F506BA8_zpsw85rkws0.jpg

Bassman666

I purchased a East J Pre, great coms, smooth transaction, fast postage! Need I say more, thanks Charlie @Bassman666
12. Stick with the Markbass, there reliable, if you do have an issue talk to Real Electronics (Authorised Markbass spares and repairs in the UK)
13.
The cabs are Markbass Club 121 which can be tilted back, the angle is quite sharp though (about 45 degrees) so I'm not sure foam would do it. Also they're tolex covered so Velcro might not be an option. I've had a look at acrylic book stands but they're about 30 quid and don't look ideal.
What is the amp head? I have a Markbass setup and use the Velcro tilt back amp stand thing but I have the head in a Markbass head back which has Velcro and holds it in place. The bags are £70 though!
14. Here's my gig rig and my practice setup to the right
15. Hook on pedal > Loop on board
16. Ive got It working now, but it was a f**king nightmare getting it crammed into my '98 Stingray, considering it was designed as a replacement its a ball ache
17. Im not being a div, you can use the preamp with a passive pickup right?
18. When i arrived you can come and have a blast if you want Si
19. I have just purchased one of these preamps and have fit it to the diagram specs even through the diagram is for a STC 3M3 4 not a STC 3M3 3. Has anyone fits one of these and can send me pics of it installed on a Musicman, mine seems to have a very low output? Any help is greatly appreciated
20.
Friend of mine has one of those Chinese Fodera copies, well it's of course not a Fodera but a good bass for £250 though.
Cool, did he do anything to it or swap parts or pups etc?
21.
Seems to me the import duty, VAT and handling fees will be £80 minimum. I reckon you need to be mentally (and financially) prepared for something around £100. P
Yes I'm prepared, sometimes it's less sometimes it's more depends how the class it on the declaration too, you never know
22. Servisol +10000000!! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Servisol-Super-10-Switch-Contact-Cleaner-Solvent-Spray-200ml-/351332573738?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item51cd0da22a
23.
It's certainly ugly enough to pass for a Fodera :-) At that price I wonder if they'll actually use a burled wood top or if it's just a pattern printed on? I'm interested to see what it's like when you actually get it.
Haha I will take some decent pics and maybe do a video of tones so you get an idea when it arrives
