  1. Lovely - I had a couple of Alleva Js with the DN boards - expensive but beautiful!
  2. I had a Fodera MG5 with a very similar neck (just the addition of stringers and through body obviously). The neck on this bass looks every bit as well constructed - a thing of real beauty. The neck is worth the asking price alone - then there's the circuit and pickups and bridge etc. I'd seriously consider parting this out - can't believe it's still here (incidentally I was joking about parting out!)
  3. a very easy deal with Dave, friendly, great communications, super rapid payment. Very highly recommended - this is just how it should be on Basschat - thanks Dave Edited for spelling
  4. There are more short-scale options than ever now - some very high-end professional instruments too (SW-1, Spector Shorty, Alembic). Have a look in the Gear Porn section - there's a short-scale thead that should give you some ideas re: brands, shapes, options etc.
  5. These are amazing basses - trying to convince myself I need another! I've had three - all very different but all brilliant. Incredibly playable, superb ergonomics and Status core tone in a very compact package
  6. Wow, really beautiful - pleased that you are as impressed with Jon's work - it's really up there with the best in my opinion
  7. Genuinely very surprised this is still here - a giveaway price
  8. Perfect transaction with Lee - a true gent and pillar of the community. Immediate payment and excellent communication throughout!
  9. I picked-up a Shuker PJ second-hand and have nothing but praise for Jon's work - construction, finish, timbers, components and attention to detail are all superb. There's real thought in every aspect of the bass. Playability balance and ergonomics are amazing (1.45" nut and neck cloned directly from a Sadowsky Will Lee). I've had Seis, Alleva Coppolos, Fender CS and Masterbuilt,Sadowsky, Overwaters, Wals etc. and Jon's work is up there with all of them
  10. These are outstanding basses - I sold mine for considerably more than this! A bargain - I'd have had this if I hadn't fallen-out with Js
  11. Aguilar 4u rack bag - in excellent and very clean condition - used only for storage, not gigs or rehearsals. Includes strap, address tag and retaining screws and protective washers. Various units have been mounted in the case and I sometimes found it fairly difficult to screw-in the retainers - they can be tight. Anybody with greater strength and a decent set of tools (and some ability) is unlikely to struggle. Collection in East Manchester or I can ship in the UK for an additional £10. I paid around £90 for this (import from the Netherlands) so probably a bit of a bargain
  12. As in the title. Three black knobs and three chrome (dome) knobs. The black knobs have a screw fixing to the shaft (I think this is the same for the chrome). Also, the lot includes a pair of P bass pick up covers. All used apart from the black knobs as far as I can tell. In very good condition. I can ship to the UK for £6 inclusive of post and packing. Apologies, I'm afraid that I am unable to split
  13. Two Wal backplate machine screws (new). Also, one damaged screw. In bag with card from Paul Herman. The new screws were surprisingly (or not) expensive. I no longer play Wals so these need a new home. I can ship in the UK for £1
  14. As above, a full set of status black strap pins (3), Allen keys (for bridge adjustment etc.), and string retainer grub screws. All used - apart from the grub screws - but in good condition. Shipped in the UK for £1
  15. As in the title, a brand new and unused set of Rotosound swing bass strings. 45 to 105 gauge long scale. Can ship in the UK for £2.
  16. A set of Schaller strap locks in chrome. Strap locks only - strap pins are not included. Can ship in the UK for £2
