It sounds to me like you would be better getting an old one if you are like me at all even if you got one of the modern flock you would still lust after the old one and wonder if you made the right choice?
2. So Tom,Brad and the amazing Timmy C plus B-Real of Cypress Hill and Chuck D of public enemy! http://prophetsofrage.com Playing a gig tonight at the Whiskey in LA for PATH charity all profits to the homeless and an further announcements to follow... It's one Hell of a line up!
3. Nothing else to say but yes 👍https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=6NEoesmnYU4
4. Think one of the Phil Jones amps takes a battery.
5. Yeah it did look pricey. But as you don't see many thought I would mention it.
6. 2pickup from the 90s on reverb if that helps think it's in the U.S. Though.
7. Bank Holiday Drop to 675 will also be down in Brighton Sat till Monday.
8.
I'm really surprised this hasn't sold - SCs and 5s aren't for everybody but I think this looks beautiful. The spec is amazing and the detailing looks just stunning. I wasn't sure about Shukers until I got hold of one on a whim - every aspect was truly superb - certainly as good as every other top-end UK bass I've played (and that really is a lot). I had a Fodera MG5 too (the obvious inspiration behind this Shuker) and can't imagine that Jon's creation would be inferior in any way. I wish I could engineer a need for this - I'd have absolutely no hesitation. In terms of value for money, to me at least this has to be one of BC's major bargains
Its a slow market but your totally right this bass is amazing and at this price should be flying out the door!
9. Just out of interest does anyone use joinmyband and is it a worthwhile tool for finding a band? (Finding it hard in my new area)
10. Yeah sorry that is probably my fault to much time reading the TB thread they all take about breakup when they mean preamp drive.
11. Cracking basses for the money really loved mine when I had it for a P it was far nicer than some higher priced models and much lighter! damn GAS made me sell it!
12. Not going to help but.... http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Wal_MKI_Fretless_1982.html
13. Seen some threads on them saying the breakup kicks in pretty low and changing the 12Ax7 valves to 12AT7 to clean up the sound a little within the given head room. But a few people don't like the EQ much and prefer the YBA300 sound and headroom. Here is a thread about tones on the 200 I came across. https://www.talkbass.com/threads/traynor-yba200-tones.979322/
14. Social media is a good way to get your point across most of these big companies pay attention to bookface and tw*ter a lot more than letters and emails as it reflects on them and can be seen/followed by the General public? In fact a lot of companies now have whole departments looking out for mentions of them.
15. Bump still here and waiting for an offer (sensible obviously) ✌️
16. It's true and it's hard to find like minded people sometimes. Although I would be pretty happy to play anything really but a good dose of dark dirty blues rock would hit the spot right now BRMC style to name one of the many.
17. I'm in the process of finding a band with moving to a new area finding one is not proving easy but as I learn when and where things are locally I should get sorted. As for GAS I have settled with my bass I find it incredibly pleasing to play and find myself just picking it up whenever I pass the room it's kept in even if I'm in a rush. As for the Amp I have traded (no cash spent) for something that took my fancy and without a big outlay I should have sold and ordered a cab also. Bored or decisive either way when I find a new band the drummer will have no problem hearing me!
