1.
I think I'm going to have it, though I might look to get it re-fretted...
Don't do that sell me the fretless neck and buy another status fretted. 👍
2. I asked the question sent an email and they are made in small batches in Korea. Will only be 4 made all in the same finish but I didn't ask if that is a first run and will follow with more or not. They did say handmade not in a factory but small workshop. I haven't taken it any further though.
3.
And here we have 3 reasons to avoid Basschat (see above).
Got to love it! Spread the love or sickness depending on your view. 👍
4.
I think the 0% finance only applies if you're 25 or under. If you are 25 or under then I'm extremely envious on both counts... 😊
Unfortunately I'm not and what sort of a stupid system is that anyway!
5. Not to mention this showing up in the smoke also!!! http://andybaxterbass.com/details.php?id=1222
6. That's a temptation that along with the Spector Shorty could be a great afternoon back to back comparison. And 0% available now to really get the GAS going.
7. Same just stumbled across it. Now debating if to try one out or not as it seems a bit of a bargain but that in itself makes me a bit cautious incase it's to good to be true. Think they do returns though.
8. Yeah nice chap good old school music shop really I should drop in next time I'm back visiting the parents.
9. Congratulations I just picked up a status necked Jazz also but cost me a hell of a lot more than yours. Guessing you stepped into Big Deal Music I can remeber lusting over some of the secondhand deals when I was a teenager in wolves. Bargain
10. Just found this thought they look interesting bit like a spector shorty. Anyone heard/got any experience of them at all? http://www.evolveguitars.com/shop/guitars/evolve-pact-bass/
11. I found a used Sterling Oynx in a shop the other day was really tempted but two things put me off firstly it wasn't in the best of condition but it still had something about it then it was 1400 which seems a lot even if it is 150limited edition I've seen sterilings for 700/800ish! The biggest factor was the Bass was totally unplayable strings on the board in a well known shop just couldn't bring myself to even debate with them.
12. Depends on what you are after I guess and the size/amount of gear I used to fit a suprising amount in my hatch (Mark 5 golf before a lorry took a liking to its rear) but if you need more you can pick up old estates like Volvo 850 for not very much. If insurance is a big factor think classic car you would be amazed how many cars are covered up to quite modern and it's really cheap my VW bay window (is not for lugging gear but I have used it) is under £200 for limited mileage.
13. What is the neck width like?
14. Withdrawn from sale.
15. Post Christmas bump. Currently figuring out some sort of sound clip should get it up in the near future

20. Bump for a lovely PBass
21. I don't really know where to start with this one.Price Drop 1500pounds I never planned on selling this bass and is purely because of a issue with my fretting hand that I'm even considering letting it go. This Precision was purchased from Wunjo at the start of the year because i fell in love with it and it had to leave there and then with me. It is not one for the purists but its one hell of a players bass (you could call it a vintage bitsa i guess). This bass has had a life, been used not hung on a wall and because of this has had modifications/work done and in my opinion sounds and plays beautiful as a Pbass should. I guess the only thing left is the details. 1969 neck that at some point in its life has had the side dots enlarged a refin/blow over at the same time. Frets also been replaced (old refret but in good shape 2mm action plays great) Tuners and Bridge seem right for the date and are tarnished a bit bent but do the job. 1967 body again refinished in black at some point in its life but has wear knocks and looks just right in my eyes. 1969/70 pickup (not fitted) 1966 CTS pots (currently not fitted) CTS 250k pots russian POI cap with none solder pickup connector so you can swap pickups to your taste and sound. ToneRider pickup (fitted) old Pbass of unknown make pickup and some other parts i have lying around the house that i will include with the sale La Bella low tension Flats (fitted) 40-100. Black 3ply fitted and a repro tort included. Covers and thumb rest gone long ago before i purchased the bass. No case although i do have a cheap fender gig bag that can go with the bass. Collection only because of the case situation and spares really plus i feel you may want to play the bass to see it in person to know if its for you. Based in Leicestershire and prefer sale only but will consider part trades with shortscale basses only due to the issue with my left hand. 22.
Do you find the problem is increased when you're fretting in the First position (up and the bottom end - around the 3rd fret) ? If so, and it's better fretting at the 9th fret, or near there, try a 5 string. the 3rd fret on the E is the same as the 8th on the B etc.
. Hard to say really I would say it just seems to come on quicker with the Pbass so I put it down to the stretch but it could be the width or depth of the neck as others have suggested. Maybe I should try and control the elements a bit more and see what has a bigger reaction do the same riffs or scales in differing positions for a time period on my basses and record the outcomes in some way.
23.
OK, but it's a technique tip that is good even if you don't have any hand problems. I'm getting some arthritis in the base of my left thumb which is concentrating my focus on things like this. Obviously it's for you to decide if the info you get is appropriate or not. Good luck with sorting this out.
👍 Will give it a try as well it can't hurt (anymore).
