  7. I missed Alanis....thank goodness for iplayer
  8. Watched a bit last night English Teacher - excellent, bought their album Super grass - dialling it in 👎 Wet Leg. Not bad, singer has very nice bum Wundahorse - loved 'em. Huge energy and very heavy. + Kim Wilde's son on guitar.....guess he should be in America 😊 Loyle somebody. A rapper. Rap isn't my thing but I enjoyed his set, sort of a jazz/funk rap vibe Franz Ferdinand - not a fan tbh but their set was great. Bassist had a very interesting Rickenbacker - a 3000 series I think. The 1975 - so so, a bit dull tbh Looking forward to tonight's offerings
  9. Audiences don't care if you use fingers, a pick, your big toe or next door's cats claws, they care about the sound and if you're in the groove. The 'pick or not to pick' debate is a nonsense, use whatever fits the sound. ......just as long as no-one asks us low-enders to smile when on stage. 🤐
  10. BBE Opto Stomp Optical Compressor Sold on eBay This is an early one with the blue led. It's in pretty good condition with a few marks from age and use. Works of a battery or a 9v PSU. Comes with original box and bits n bobs. They're on Fleabay for £150 odd but that's daft money so it's up here for £75.00

  11. 15 metre stage snake box. 12-way 8/4 Fully tested using the cable tester I borrowed from work
  12. Gruv Gear gig bag for bass. NOW SOLD A very well made thing and all the zips are working. The latest version is £300 odd new so if this floats your boat, it's good value for one hundred of your English pounds. Could post at cost but would rather do a meet up if it's not too far

  14. I think I might have pitched this too high so the new price is £550. I can't change the price in the header Handbox R400 & Handbox 1x12 Cab Bought these a couple of years back from Sims Guitars, it was their Handbox demo rig. The amp has been recently serviced and there are a couple of small nicks in the cab tolex from gigging. Handbox Cab is a 1 x 12" Ferrite (Eminence Speaker) 250W/80hm Selling as we're moving house and down-sizing so I'm selling off my gig rig as moving means leaving my band too 😥 I want to sell this as a rig and not split them. Possible courier delivery or happy to do a meet up
  15. Remi Harris and his Peter Green tribute band at Peggy's Skylight in Nottingham. If you're a Peter Green fan you should check him out.
  16. I have one just like this except it's active. Mike Lull basses are fantastic, I'll never part with mine
  17. The Phil Ashmore Band https://youtu.be/icZV9VX6Hug?si=UvXC5g36XtIeVNHs
  18. Last Friday saw us back at The Speakeasy Bar in Hinckley. Cracking gig, with many of the crowd saying they'd come to see us play before, which was great. We rattled out our set of good 'ole Country choons, with a sprinkling of Chrimbo songs for good measure. Finished the set with Islands in the Stream followed by MIFLAW. Cheesy I know, but fun to play and lapped up by everyone throwing shapes in front of us. 2nd encore ....Sweet Home Alabama (well you have to really). We did throw in 2 or 3 originals into the set which were very well received. Mike Lull P4 through a Handbox R400 with matching cab, with just a graphics eq and a thumpinator in the effects loop The band is called Southern Frontier Country Band...check us out on Farcebook and give us a like 🤠 Obligatory gig pics some of the excellent crowd
  19. Yes, saw that, excellent news
  20. Nailed it there Daryl.... it's the load in/out that kills me and my dodgy back
  21. Played a 40 minute set at the Oxjam Beeston Music Festival, which is an annual event featuring 100+ bands, solos and duos playing in 20 venues in Beeston, Nottingham, raising money for Oxfam. We were in The Hope Pole pub which was rammed with punters all well lubricated and having a great time. We played sans drummer as he wasn't available and neither was our usual dep. My rig was my Gallien Krueger MB150 with matching extension cab (both bought off here) and it stood up well and may become my go-to rig for small pub gigs. We DI'd it and the sound guy said 'that's a hot signal for such a little amp' My Lull P4 did the honours. This is my fifth Oxjam Beeston with 2 different bands and it's always a blast. Pic is a screenshot of a video my mate shot
