1.
Love it! Great song and a great video too. Very nicely staged/acted/edited and I like the humour throughout. Spot on. Probably my favourite video of yours to date… and not because you're not in it mate, you understand
Thanks very much, Paul

 8.
There was a 2-pickup sunburst model on eBay recently for a far more reasonable $1500.
But did it 'deserve to be called Mr' ?
 9.
There is always time for beer......
An excellent attitude!

 13.
Just a quick question from a technophobe... I've installed a J Retro 01 in my Lakland 5560. I've always wound the volume knob up to full, as you do on a standard passive bass but I've begun to notice that the bass is distorting and dropping the input volume on my amp (PJB suitcase) doesn't cancel it out: the signal still clips. Am I just sending too strong a signal to my amp? Do I need to get in the habit of rolling the volume back on the bass? The installation manual talks about adjusting the gain signal on the preamp itself, but I don't think it can be lowered, only boosted. Any tips and tech advice suited for an idiot would be gratefully received!
Ask John East mate, he's incredibly helpful. Have you replaced the battery?
 14. Another little update on this subject. I just got the masters of an album I played on, I did three numbers as guitarist, and one as bassist. It's Sheema's (the sitarist) solo album. There are some superb musicians on there, some from Peter Gabriel's usual band (not the current 'SO' band) and really fantastic live horn and string sections. It's a very quirky album with a great range of styles on it. I had some fantastic feedback from the co-producer (who is not easy to please apparently) and and the mixing/mastering engineer about my guitar and bass sounds (and performance, which is hugely gratifying). I asked the engineer particularly about my bass sound and he said how good it was, and that he barely needed to eq it, it was great as it was. I'm delighted by that, and the track sounds ace to my ears. I recorded them all at home with the POD X3 LIVE into Logic 9 on my MacBook. He is going to send me the mixed isolated bass track so I can compare it with the raw bass I sent him. So when I receive it I'll post a short clip of each and a snippet of the final mastered song so you can form your own opinions. I don't know if it will demonstrate anything other than that a POD can sound lovely, but I'll do it anyway
 15.
We're about to release this as a double heavyweight album on the Plane Groovy label; the audio is stunning and it's an amazingly lively recording, with absolutely minimal compression - an audiophile dream. It's a truly worthwhile upgrade/revisiting of the old Necromandus songs which, if you've heard them, are let down by that early '70's muddy production.
Excellent! I have heard the Necro numbers and you're absolutely right about the production. Can you post more details about your release please? i.e. where to obtain it. Cheers. EDIT: It will be from your site won't it? I just had a look.
 16.
I just read a bit of it on Amazon. I am appalled that Morrissey seems to have used American spellings for words such as centre, glamour and colour. Disappointing.
Daft Flowerarse C*** is still spelled the same though
 17. A WISHBASS has a pretty massive neck
 18.
I have just been informed by a third party that SGD pickups are now insolvent, the owner refuses to admit it and no longer responds to Emails. So I am now out $470 and I do not have the money to purchase suitable pickups and they wouldn't be the RD clones that I wanted. Right now my custom bass will just not be finished. (I am accepting part exchanges on my Barefaced cab to raise the cash though ) I and many other people were constantly lied to by David who told us to trust him even though he broke his word many times. Well this is the ultimate proof and I am ultimately the one to pay the price, I just feel really dejected.
What totally f***ed up state of affairs.
 19. Old Morrissey's auto should be an interesting read but I wonder if all this Classic sh*t will stop me.
 20.
Mozart. The majority of it sounds to me like how cream soda tastes. Hate it, although there are exceptions in his output that actually have feeling and some pretension to substance.
No, you're thinking of Vivaldi
 21.
UEs are great. Sennheisers are a bit hit and miss for me... But the ie8s are cool. Nice bass response. Its amazing how vastly different all the earphones can sound!
Absolutely! After trying so many I now realise how natural and transparent my KRK studio montitoring headphones are. Not an inspiring listen on the hifi, but invaluable for mixing.
 22.
http://www.acscustom...id=39&Itemid=90 Here you go Nige. Must warn you... You may be about to embark on a costly path!
Erm, no I'm not The Complys are fine for me mate, they are just for listening to music, not live monitoring.
Ps what ue have you gone for?
Well, the bloody label has worn off them, they are Logitech UEs that I got in the Apple Store for about 45 notes. I liked my Senns but the jack moulding has ended up breaking on both sets I've had, these UEs are much more sturdy, and you know what, they sound much better too, more natural and warm with very good high end detail but not in a tiring way. So f*** Sennheiser
 23. Fantastic!! Great design too, subtle, clever, excellent design principles. Very well deserved mate. Congratulations!
 24. Anyone use these? I only found out about them because I got a pair free with some Ulimate Ears ear buds I bought recently. My god, the difference between them and them crap silicone ones is amazing! They are made out of memory foam, different specs are available and different models to fit different makes of ear buds. The fit is so comfortable and the noise isolation is superb. All the richness and depth of the music comes through because the foam fits your ear canal perfectly. They are quite expensive (mine were about £13 for three pairs) but I unerringly recommend them and they last for ages. They are on Amazon and Ebay. Apparently there are fakes about so go for ones with original packaging. http://www.complyfoam.com/
 25. Glad there's some love for ol Francis on here. Go to one of his house concerts if you can, you'll see what a fabulous and very odd man he is I'm hoping to go to the London Tabernacle gig with his prog band on Nov 2. If anyone else is going it would be good to meet up.
