1. Virtually mint. Came with four screws instead of five and they don't look right either, but I'll include them. It's a very good bridge, very solid. Perfectly retrofits Fender bridges. £12 posted.
 2. Fender Squier VM Jaguar PG and Bell Plate with Screws Virtually mint and taken off a new Squier active VM Jag. £12 plus £3 shipping. 50% of the sale price will go to the SE Bass Bash charity.
 3. Brand new and unused. 2 x sets. £4 per set posted.
 4. Rasta Control Knobs - for instrument or pedal - Black / Red / Gold / Green Only suitable for the Dubwise Mint condition and unused. High quality with grub screw, will fit normal sized pot shafts. £5 posted.
 5. Jazz Bass Knobs - 3 x Large 1 x Small Mint, virtually unused. £3 posted
 6. Fender Squier VM Jaguar Neck & Tuners with rosewood board. This is pretty much mint. Very good fretwork, slim and shallow like a good Jazz Bass neck. Slightly polished on the back of the neck, no dents, chips, nothing. It came off a new Squier Jaguar and virtually unplayed. £70 including UK shipping cost. I will take the tuners off for shipping and pack them separately inside the box. 50% of the sale price will go to the SE Bass Bash charities.
 7. Passive basses. I've been playing active Warwicks for a long while but I bought a gorgeous 1983 USA Standard Jazz with the intention of fitting a John East J-Retro (I've had a few before and they are amazing), but I have grown to love the passive sound of it.
 8.
Nice one! I just bought the album and the MP3 is currently downloading

Cracking stuff. I had to buy it.
That's great to hear chaps! I hope you really enjoy the tunes Thank you.
 9.
I wanted a plate that looked similar to the mid coloured ones used around 1962: Before '61 the plates were even lighter. In '66 the colour darkened:
Cool! But you had a dot/bound neck so you could have got away with it
 10. Absolutely fantastic! I'd still have dark tort but that's just me Superb job Kevin!
 11.
What's the album called, please?
Called Kabatronics mate https://www.facebook.com/FanfaraTiranaTransglobalUnderground http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kabatronics-Fanfara-Tirana-Transglobal-Underground/dp/B009VKLC48/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1383335954&sr=8-1&keywords=fanfara+tirana
 12.
I use Ecover too. Cuts through the grease, is kind on my skin and good enough to drink! It's a win.
13.
Nice little demo, Nigel. I think I detect a modicum of oriental influence in the compo..? A pleasant change from the 'disco big beat' or 'metal thrash' often encountered. The bass sounds fine; even 'brighter' than I would have credited (I use Trubass 88 black nylon...). Listening on 'phones, so maybe missing some sub-bass. A good job, anyway; thanks for sharing...
Cheers Dad. Arabic and African. The LaBellas have a thin metallic top end and a a sort of low mid thump to them. I've used them before on a headless, and on a fretless. I really like them, very high quality and they feel lovely.
 14.
I've been mucking around with a DIY project at home and I'm starting to realise that pickup placement makes a huge difference. Interesting string choice too - lots of good reports about La Bella black nylon taped. I'm very unadventurous when it comes to strings... I need to get out more and live a little in that respect. It's all about the gloves, innit. I bet you use Fairy mild washing up liquid too
If you think how a string sounds, its harmonic overtones vs the fundamental, depending where you pluck it, and which part of the string is being picked up by the pickup, it starts making more sense. I think having the pup nearer the bridge quickens the attack and diminishes the presence of the fundamental. I use Ecover Camomile and Marigold. No gloves
 15. What an UNBELIEVABLE cheek!! Incredible! I know what I would do, once I'd got over the shock.
 16.
Nige, the tracks REALLY good too! It really reminds me of the assassins creed soundtrack which I picked up in a special edition boxset. If you good Jasper Kyd : Assassins Creed you should get some good results. The two sound nothing alike but I think the interwoven rhythms are what I'm being reminded of. Infact here's a track for you
Thanks mate, I quite like that, will check em out.
 17.
Good sound and bit of tune by the way! Also it's a shame you don't know the name of the chords in that other piece. You could but a horrible melody over it. A bit like God Eaters of Alien Love Secrets by Vai.
Cheers man, oddly I can imagine melodies over those chords
 18.
Bloody hell, 60-115. I hope i never have to shake your hand I'd never be able to play again!
I have small and delicate hands mate, the compliance of the strings is quite soft, they feel as easy to play as the 40-95 sets I normally use.
 19. Thanks Paul I really like the sound of it, it's got a pretty fast attack which makes it sound punchy I think, must be the pickup placement and the fact its a HB, noticeably different to the slight spongyness of my Jazz neck SC. Probably the strings too. It's a lovely combination.
 20. It's a heavily modded Squier VM Jag but the pup and tronics are original so you are hearing the sound of the Squier. It has active 3 band and a single humbucker like a Stingray. It's got La Bella Black Nylon Tapewound 760N on, 115-60 gauge. It's going to be used solely for the deep dubby sounds of London Zulu. I put this together quickly last night to try it out. Into Logic via my POD with a patch I made specially. https://soundcloud.c.../zulu-bass-demo
 21. Congratulations Zenitram! Yours was my favourite, lovely work that i really enjoyed
 22. My friends (and bandmates in other bands) Transglobal Underground got together with Fanfara Tirana - an Albanian brass ensemble - and recorded and toured an album. They are on the list for a Grammy nomination. The album is brilliant! The show at the Scala was ace! They keep pushing boundaries and inspiring others, I am SO proud of them
 23. I'd change the body.
 24.
Looking forward to getting my first Bass Doc scratchplate, but surely this should be in the Gear Porn section? Beautiful selection guys!
It don't matter WHERE it is if The Bass Doc made it
 25.
I imagine this one would have been a bit of a challenge... No problem for the Doc, though! Beautiful.
Wow!
