3.
I really wanted one of these with the elusive fretted/fretless facillitator system (FFFS) developed by Nick O'Tean. I later found out that the mechanical raising and lowering of the fffs system induced a nasty earth humm so i went with an encore p in flame red.
Yes encore bass are very very very good. this one is based on encore but has a better pickup and hand carved daftwoods.
 4.
Oh dear, Carling spray on screen . TIM.
Very nice. But it doesn't help sell this bass. 6.
I have this WHY for trade...shes pretty versatile and as far as I know shes completely stock bar a replaced tone pot
No.
 7.
Alas, I'm skint. But have a free bump on me for a beautiful bass.
Jesus be with you friend. EDIT: Sorry I mean Lemmy. You are a good fellow. Thank you.
 8.
apologies. I just think I know everything about every bass ever made and can't help but have a cocky answer to everything written. Can you tell me if the jesus face is pre-beard era? I hear these are worth a lot more, espeially with 'real clay' eyes...
HAHAHAH! you are very funny demeanor!! i just pissed my mint tea. thank you. Of course it is not pre beard. This is a burl ives top!! Do your research properly and it saves trouble for the future. Thank you.
 9.
Apparently I've just won the Nigerian lottery (good thing I checked my 'junk mail' folder eh?), so as soon as I find the ticket that I haven't bought and the funds clear then I'll be in a position to make you an offer. Shouldn't take too long as I've just emailed them my bank details as requested. Hooray. I can't help thinking that people aren't taking this post seriously. Good luck with the sale though Sliddx.
You may not make me an offer as it this is not an auction, it is against forum rules. I only want trades for pre CBS fender or WHY. Thank you for your kind wishes, as I said it is not a sale, only trade for pre CBS fender or WHY.
 10.
is it as good or not as good as a stagg?
You must be more specific. If you are referring to the face, which one?! Jesus, Lemmy or Robert Powell? Also it could be equal. Please PM with questions like this as it is against forum rules.
 11.
Sorry to attempt a scuttling of your thread but is this not the same bass you bought from a fellow Basschatter no more than 4 weeks ago for £165.00? If it is as I suspect, I looked at this one myself just before the sale and I am convinced it's not Jesus but Robert Powell whose likeness appears. Therefore it is a copy.
No, sadly my friend you are mistaken. I am aware you met Leah Femdom some years before her unfortunate and untimely departure, but this does not mean you are expert on faces, only old basses. Mr Powell had make up and facial hair grown especially to LOOK LIKE Jesus, along with a sack on his head. He did look very much like Jesus, but without the satin high polish finish.
 12.
I'll have it. I'm sending you a cheque for £1,000 over the asking price. Please send my Western Union to my shipping agent.... etc etc
Sorry your highness, I do not ship to Nigeria. Sincere apologies for disturbing you hapiness this beautiful day and I hope you have many fine male children.
 13.
Morning Nigel, from the photos you sent by pm the Jesus image (near the mid sweep pot) looks to me more like Lemmy? Could the wood of come from a tree specially grown for the great man then accidentally got mixed up at the Rickenbacker factory until arriving with your luthier?
No mate. The unsightly lumps on Jesus's face are just the wood pattern, just little burl ives bits. If you really do think most people will think it's Lemmy, please let me know and I will revise the listing. I don't want to ship to Italy or South America anyway so if it looks more like Lemmy than Jesus, that's alright with me.
 14.
Okay, there appears to be some disparity between this guy's self perception and his actual ability. It's possible he's delusional, in which case I wonder if its fair to have a ten page thread of posts making fun of him?
We all are mate, all of us. It's just a matter of degree.
 15.
I think I'd stick in an active preamp as well. Looks like a neat job, the routing for the J pickup isn't gappy and the battery box looks OK too, as well as one can see it. WTF anyone would want to put this considerably improved P back to something like original appearance beats me.
I agree! If theyed made the the nut width 38mm it would have been the perfect upgraded P Bass. I wonder what it'll go for.
 16.
Have a bump for being so bloody 'bass fickle' Wish I could have it but I've blown all my booty on an amp, so my GAS fund is at zero. All the best.
I know man, and for a Fender of all things! Hope you are Rumblin' Devon to your deep satisfaction at the moment! Cheers mate
 17.
We could do that if you buy a T-shirt. I have to warn you though these are custom hand-made T-shirts made from a blend of Cotton picked at the cross-roads and melted down first edition Elvis records. So they cost pretty much as much as the bass. Other than that, no problem.
Great to have you on here Mr Dingwall. I don't own one of your basses, but I've played a few of them and they really are extremely nice, fan frets probably scare some people but they make a lot of sense when you actually pick one up. All the best to you! I really should come to this event. I will think about it.

 21. The one bloody day that week I can't make. Don't suppose you would mind rescheduling for the Wednesday would you? Excellent!
 22. That bass is BITCHEN! I bet the response was biblical for that!
 23.
He has posted enough videos to allow people to make their own decision regarding his playing ability and demeanour. If someone sees the videos and thinks that Jaxsn's personality coupled with that level of playing ability will be an asset to his or her musical project, then good luck to them and good luck to Jaxsn. In terms of behaviour, someone like Jaxsn isn't any different to, say, Gene Simmons. There will be plenty of people outraged that someone with such limited (perceived) ability can be so self publicising and confident/arrogant, but if it gets him paid gigs and other work, then the (perceived) lack of ability is the problem of the musical director/producer/artiste.
You can't be serious, can you?? You can't be. My god, you might be being serious! But you can't be, can you? You can't really be serious, can you? EDIT: I've told Cetera about this and he will give you a right tongue lashing if you're not careful.
 24.
I didnt know Wishbasses did an upmarket model................
I wish, I wish. If they did I would be right on it, it would be the perfect bass for me. He won't though, says he can't be arsed.
