BTW, I am actually happy with the outcome on the EBMM Forum. I didnt want it to turn into such a big thread on here, and I didnt want to push it onto their forum in case it seemed like I was blaming EBMM. I am 100% certain they didnt make this bass as it is. They will make it right, no matter what. Hopefully soon I will have my new bass (es) albeit through GAK more than likely.

I think at some point, closing this thread might be wise. I have (hopefully) the refund due in my account any day now. I will then re-gather my thoughts, and start again, albeit with a lot of caution. Small deposits, lots of confirmation receipts, and emails to S&T to make sure they know my orders are coming. Thanks all. What a hectic and stressful 3 weeks.

Refund issued, dealing with Nick (extremely helpful) at S&T. Waiting for the money to hit the bank, then GAK more than likely will see some of it. Never paying in full again unless it's ready to ship. Nick is overseeing future orders and personally keeping me in the loop.

Thing are looking up. I contacted EBMM again directly and stated how much I want to stay a customer in future, and told them about the recent problems, and the fact I felt so frustrated. In all honesty, I would still like a Sadowsky later, but I still want to finish off my Musicman collection. No doubt about it, they are part of 'my tone', simple as that.As I mentioned at the beginning, I have owned many Musicman basses, and I have 4 here at the moment, everyone of them amazingly well built...probably matching even a boutique builder. S&T have emailed me directly as they have received the HH Matching Headstock back and seem to have quite happily accepted it is not right, and are dealing with the BM on that, (obviously they owe them now for the fact its not up to standard, which in turn I get back). I don't want to drag any names into the mud. Its such a difficult financial situation for most companies at the moment...all I want are the basses I ordered, as good as they normally are. S&T are now trying to sort something out for me because of all of this, not sure what is going to happen yet...but Im hoping it is ALL positive. I am not that patient at the moment, that is true, but im hoping I have been fairly pleasant and honest throughout the whole matter. I am quite happy if this takes a total switch in the other direction and I get the basses I want and everyone is happy. It doesn't appear apparent throughout this, but I don't really like causing conflict or problems.

BTW, if you arent dead set on Ampeg, and you want a nice tubey flavoured high powered amp, have a look at the Genz Benz Streamliner. Fantastic customer support, loud, warm, clear, and has the ability to give you tube grit as well as super clean. Or, the Orange Bass Terror.

Im pretty sure you could get better cabs than the Ampeg ones for the Pro 7. Just make sure you get the latest revision of the amp, and throughly check it. They are great value, but there have been a fair few failures of the these amps...so make sure its a good one! A while back I purchased an 810E to live the dream, only to find it wasn't really that great, at all.

LOL, thanks all. I think a more 'strong' drink might be in order very soon. I can see this hitting 22/23 pages before the end. Its a shame, because I started this hoping to give praise after spending my hard earned cash, but it seems this isnt going to happen. What has actually happened is I seem to have been chasing everything. I have sent a complaint to EBMM. Thing is, I still want their equipment, 100%, I just need support from them before I ever dive in again.

Agreed. I am going to look into getting another HH Ray/2EQ Ray/Bongo...not sure when, Probably only get the one though, and save for something else non-bass related and possibly put a bit aside for a Sadowsky.

Well, that was a long process, full of bad luck basically...I was more than willing to keep going on this, but its not going to work. Deliveries cannot be 100% guaranteed for Wednesday, and I dont want to swap days off or have it swimming around the postage system if Im working or going away. So, refund it is. My next question is...what do I do now?!

There seems to be quite an influx of these new super 1x12s, especially over in the USA. Recently, Baer Amplification, Acme, and AudioKinesis all released new models, and the reviews of them are very very favourable. Eg, despite my lack of full knowledge on the specifications, they can actually almost cover/can cover the ground of a high quality 2x10, and perhaps even bigger cabinets. It seems there have been Fearful 12/6 designs on the market for quite some time. Again, I haven't looked into this, so no idea what the background is. I believe Barefaced also has one, which I havent heard much about, the Big Baby. I am actually quite interested in getting one of these, purely because the specs seem to tick all the boxes. Does anyone own one on here?

Interparcel, and recently Parcel2Go, have been great when Ive used them. Parcel2Go parcel to Portugal was VERY fast, although as it was outside the UK, it was fairly expensive.
