  1. This does look good! I've just spotted it's 400W at 4ohms => 200W at 8ohms. I think I'm going to have to wait for the R750 to hit the shelves!
  2. Thanks Tony, we will get back to you on this, no need to contact us further... 😂
  3. Sorry couldn't resist making the 1900th post on this ridiculously active thread about basses which some of us clearly love a LOT! I think the 40 pages or so we've posted since the start of 2019 have entirely coincided with a certain Andy Travis getting back his Yammy bug!! 😄
  4. As a big Mesa M6 fan who has been tempted to get the WA Scout combo on several occasions, the above "candid" posts have been really helpful. Much appreciated, thanks.
  5. PM'd re the NE1. Let's see if this can turn my BB 1025 into a BB NE2!
  6. Definitely the "S" (with the active / 3 band EQ) and BB1100 looks the right model too, now you mention it
  7. +1^^ ! Which model is it? If that's your first Yammy then welcome to the BB club btw!
  8. +1^^ and BF are also obviously much loved. Seems to me for your needs, you could do far worse than: One cab solution - VK 210 LNT 4 ohms (1200W AES power handling) Two cab solution - BF SC x 2
  9. Great minds think alike and B1(X)-4 owners seldom differ eh? 😄
  10. 23 lbs. Including lid? Hmmm... that could be just about manageable.
  11. I can't speak for what goes on in Europe, but my string plucking hand only had five last time I checked...
  12. Cheers guys! What's the weight of the R 400?
  13. Look under the bonnet with the PC editor and the SA Aftershock is actually a sweetie-box of drive effects! It should better be considered as a drive multi-fx! Versatile pedal on for a very good price from a top quality seller. GLWTS!
  14. If the Almighty had intended basses to have more than 5 strings surely he / she would have given us more fingers? 😂
  15. Dan - great that you're loving this! Any further feedback from you on the amp - you had a chance to try it out in the mix? What is the weight and the price to your door of the head? Be also interested to hear how it's stacking up against the Markbass valve head you got last year?
  16. Just come across this . Doesn't have the flexibility of the Boss LS-2, but it's more compact, cheaper and doesn't require any power supply: http://www.one-control.com/1-loop-box.html Seems like a neat solution if you're just looking for a loop option and don't have that available on any of your existing pedals.

    First Pedal Help

@Shmeo welcome to Basschat and more importantly to the world of bass! There are a lot of bass players who don't use any pedals at all and simply go bass to amp. If you're not sure where to start a multi-fx is a great introduction to the typical sounds and tones that a pedal can provide (and they usually have a built in tuner as well). Very happy to recommend getting any of the Zoom pedals as they are really good value e.g. the newly released Zoom B1-4 or B1X-4.
  18. Bought this off my guitarist a few months back for £300, when he was moving house, and I've not got round to touching it since then and I can't see that realistically changing in the next 6 months. It's under a year old and was (and still is!) in very good condition (includes vocoder mic). Best price I can find on line is around £365, so I'm going to knock £100 off that and do it for £265 (plus P&P) Compact, polyphonic synthesiser with 256 preset tones for the digital synths. 37 keys. Superb sounding drums. Well implemented effects. Sequencer offers three classic recording methods. Serviceable gig bag included in the price (small rip - shown) Roland PSU and vocoder mic supplied. https://www.musicmatter.co.uk/roland-jd-xi?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIt_vbldio4gIVTLXtCh1EzAICEAQYAiABEgJS__D_BwE
  19. Well if it's faulty the OP would certainly be within his rights to get a replacement or his cash back and / or get a B1X-4 instead (which mentioned elsewhere he was tempted by). I've reflected further on the advice by one of the esteemed mods to burn it and try as I might, I still consider that to be sub-optimal.
  20. ...sold (subject to the usual).
  21. You're very welcome! Are you finding the Glam comp as good as I've been spouting on about it?
  22. Thanks - sounds good and not a million miles from what's happening on the BB NE2 with it's sweepable mid cut to overlay the mid tone EQ.
  23. Talk me through what you're getting at there? Sounds really good, but not sure what it means! Apologies to the B1-4 thread followers for this mini thread hi-jack, but it may give us all some useful tips for patch shaping ideas!
  24. Only necessary if it's been in the fridge, surely?
