1. Thanks for the heads up on this Sylvie. It's in the diary now so if I'm not in the wilds of Outer Mongolia (or, dare I say it, Bognor Regis!), I will make at least one of LBGS days.
 2. Good job, Sylvia! I just read through your SEBB blog and your pics made me even more sorry I wasn't able to make it. Next year... fer sure!! Also - to whoever owns them, I'm curious about the set of bass pedals. They look like a custom job of sorts. More info please...?
 3. Really sorry I wasn't able to make it this year. Looks like it was as good a bash as we've come to expect. (Nice pics, Silvia! ) Roll on next year!
 4.
Rats. Only just saw this. I'd have come to see you.
Ah, too bad. Maybe another time...?
 5.
It was a pleasure to meet you, Steve, and we had a fantastic evening. I'm working on the photos and will be in touch soon. Feel free to Facebook me - I'll probably publish an album there too, eventually. \m/ \m/
Excellent! Thanks again. I'm happy to Facebook you if you could send me a link or name to search for... - or - I'm at https://www.facebook.com/stevegeebass
 6. Good to see you last night Silvia, not to mention Jack and the rest of the junkyard crew. The photos here look great - looking forward to seeing the rest of them. Steve
 7. Brilliant! Thanks Silvia, that would be most welcome. I'm sure Ms Murphy will very much appreciate it, too.
 8.
We were entirely spoilt by having a bespoke build stage and top notch sound crew so it wasn't too tough for us. It's a bloody tall ceiling though! If you get a chance see if you can get up to the balcony area that overlooks the hall when someone else is playing. The view of the hall with people in and music on is amazing. In fact, if it's open maybe get someone to take some pics of you playing from up there. They'll look great in the portfolio
I understand the set-up for the acts is at the top of the main stairway. I used to visit the NHM regularly at one time (along with the Science Museum, of course) so must admit the opportunity to play where once were dinosaurs was most tempting. Definitely a big room!
I sense a photo opportunity being thrown my way...
Haha, rumbled!!
 9.
Excellent. You have Paul on drums too, am I right? Jack and I will make sure to pop down and catch you guys
Yep, Paul is with us, too, though he'll mainly be playing Cajon (unless he can jump on someone else's kit ). Great if Jack can make it too. I should have contacted him though I only just received final confirmation and details myself.
I've played in that hall - acoustics are great fun We played for a Price Waterhouse summer ball and it really was an amazing setting! Hope you have a brilliant time.
Thanks Barry. I was wondering about the acoustics. I'm sure it'll be interesting, to say the least.
 10.
Thinking of coming! Which time slot are you scheduled in?
Nice one, Sylvia. Be good to meet you if you can make it along. Yeah, forgot to mention that we're sheduled for around 9pm - actually 9.20pm, I think.
 11. Ok, I'm not quite 65 million years old, not yet, but if any London-based BC'ers are around on Friday evening (28th June) and fancy a trip over to the Natural History Museum in South Kensington, I'm playing a short (and I do mean short!) set with singer/songwriter Jeanette Murphy in the museum's Central Hall. It's for their monthly live music series "Lates with Mastercard". There are ten acts playing, each one does a 15 minute slot. Best of all, it's free admission. Be nice to meet and chat with any BC'ers - or come to that, anyone else that'll talk to me...!!! http://www.nhm.ac.uk/visit-us/whats-on/after-hours/lates-master-card/index.html Cheers, Steve
 12. Well-pee'd off that I couldn't make this after all. Hopefully, next time.
 13.
1980 Wal Custom. Still gigging after 33 years!!
While I would not get rid of my Stingray5 (see above) - your Wal, sir, gives me the horn!
 14.
If I could find one just like that, but that was under 8lb I would buy it instantly!
Having owned this bass for the last 15 years or so, I guess I've gotten used to the weight (as a 5-hour gig I played on New Years Eve will testify to! ) But, yes, she is a beauty to both look at and play.
 15. Born 5th Dec, 1989 - my Stingray5 is 23 years old today. Happy bassday, sweetie!
 16.
And by the way, we missed you, Nige, and Clarky, and Jack and all the others who couldn't make it, and we demand you all make sure you'll be at the next one

Yes, definitely. Me and Sylv are gonna gang up on you to make sure you're there next time
Absotively!!!
 17. Thanks to those who have posted pics from the bash. I was so gutted I couldn't be there, I was looking forward to meeting up with so many old and new bassmates. Just have to wait til next year...
 18.
That's very kind of you - and typical of the kindness and generosity of many at the bash today! I'll PM you my paypal account name. If you send it as a gift I'll add the cash to the overall profit. Colin
Done!
 19. Sorry to have missed this after all, but I don't think anyone would have appreciated it if they went away with a sore throat and cold. Anyway, it does sound like it was another good day and I'm looking forward to seeing the pictures. Colin and Nik - I'd still like to pay towards the cost and/or the charity fund. Let me know the best way to do this. Ta. Cheers, Steve
 20. I don't believe it!! I was hoping I wouldn't have to post this as I was really looking forward to the bash but I had a sore throat and had lost my voice last week and felt like sh*t, but was feeling better the last few days. Today has been worse and it's still not good. I'll see how I feel in the morning but what I don't want to do is risk passing anything on to other people. I'm not a happy bunny! Steve
 21. Recently I was also getting a 405 Error after posting a message. On clicking 'Post' I was shown the 405 error white page though found that my post had gone through ok anyway. Just to say I just had the same thing happen again (posting to the 'Show me some photos' thread)
 22.
'Tis a truth universally known that Sir Jacks P is Utterly Butterly, the leader of the Lur-Pack as it were.
Really?! I can't believe it's not............... oh never mind!!
 23. Innit marvellous! I'd have made the effort this year as I've not been to one of these in a while, but I have gigs over that same weekend. Ah well, there's still the South East Bass Bash...
