  1. Lily The Pink - Scaffold
  2. 5-4-3-2-1 - Manfred Mann
  3. Nine Million Bicycles in Beijing - Katie Melua (alt version by Hank Marvin)
  4. That's nice!!! However, I'm really not in the market for another 6-string at the moment but will say that, imho, these are without doubt one of the best 6-string basses out there, especially for the money. GLWTS.
  5. Hi, Hi, Hi - Macca with Wings
  6. RTFM - Aardvark
  7. I'm also not sure about the white hardware thing though don't really go for the Jack White Tele's colour combo. Maybe if the guitar was black...? or white...? or something else...?!
  8. I started playing guitar when I was 10, bass guitar when I was 15, I'm now 66 and have no plans to stop. I play in a Prog band and also a Jazz quartet and over the years have also been in a Country band plus various Rock/Pop/Funk/Soul covers and originals bands. Gig-wise I have a Prog gig still due to go ahead in July, a couple of possible Jazz gigs (tbc) and a one-off wedding gig in August. Audience ages tend to be across the board though I can probably measure ages at the end of a gig as much by who's still standing (or even awake!).
  9. Say It Again - Jermaine Stewart
  10. Cool Water - Joni Mitchell
  11. I did look at the synopsis for each episode and was ever so tempted to go straight to the final episode 8...! But I'll still watch 'em all, eventually.
  12. Ah, thanks for the reminder. I actually recorded all 8 episodes when it was on previously but haven't had time to watch all of them yet. Each one is around 2 1/2 hours. Yeehaaar!!
  13. The Police's debut hit single Roxanne was released in '78, so I'd say Sting would have been pretty well known when Quadrophenia (the movie) came out in '79. Remember he also had a fairly big role in Dune (1984).
  14. Give A Little Bit - Supertramp
  15. Easy Money - John Wetton
  16. Summer Soldier - Barclay James Harvest
  17. @ped that second number, "Livin' On Love", put me very much in mind of one of my all-time fave bands, Little Feat. The feel and groove and even a touch of slide guitar. So I checked out the credits and, blow me down if one of the co-writers of that song isn't Craig Fuller who was a member of 'Feat from 1988-1996. Loved the bass on both tracks btw - right in the pocket!
  18. Hymn of the Seventh Galaxy - Return to Forever
  19. Alone Again Or - Love
  20. Slave To The Rhythm - Grace Jones
  21. '57 Chevrolet - Billie Jo Spears
  22. You Need Hands - Max Bygraves
  23. Get the Funk Out Ma Face - The Brothers Johnson
