  1. That looks great. I want it 😂
  2. Will keep my eyes peeled
  3. Hoping to pick up some decent gig bags that have been discounted. Ideally 2 of them.
  4. Sounds as good as it looks too
  5. I think its approx 18kg. Will check when I get hone
  6. Quite fancy a Jack Cassidy bass or a Fender Rumble 500w combo if any one wants to take this in part exchange. Would consider other 4 string basses too but nothing pointy. Happy to add money for the right deal. Mark Bass 800W 2 x 12 Bass cab. Bought this a few months ago and two days later i bought a Bareface 2 x12 and as a result of this, the Mark Bass cab has never left the house or been gigged since I have had it. First day I bought it I realises one of the Speakon sockets wasn't working. This has now been replaced. If you looking for a lightweight 800W cab with a small foot print then this ticks all the boxes. Collection from Huyton Liverpool or possible meet up within an hours drive. Don't think postage is an option with this as I have no box to pack it in
  7. Quite fancy a Jack Cassidy bass if anyone fancies taking this in Part exchange. Would consider other 4 strings in Part Exchange but nothing pointy. Happy to add money for the right deal. Yamaha BB415 in the best colour metallic orange. Moving this on as I just don't need a 5 string in my current band. Brand new D'Addario strings. New Barrel jack. In good condition, plays really well, has some great tones in. Not too heavy for a 5 string Chip of paint missing from the back, near strap button. Hair line crack in the paint finish by the 3 way selector switch. Tiny little hair line crack in the back of the headstock from the tuner mounting screws. Playability not effected at all. Collection from Huyton Liverpool, could meet up in the Northwest. Postage may be possible if I can locate a suitable box.

  8. Think I will be sticking with the 400s. Love the neck on the 414. Also the simplicity of the passive instrument is better for me. With the 734a I was constantly fiddling with the tone controls in between songs. With the 414 I can just play the the thing and not be tempted to tweak anything mid song
  9. Am also very taken with the matching headstock on the 414 and 415
  10. When I was selling my 414 I put new strings on it and tweaked the set up. Gave it a quick test and it sounded brilliant. Unfortunately the new new owner was on his way round to collect it and it was too late to change my mind. Few weeks later he had put it up for sale so I bought back again and it's been my first choice ever since. Think the selector switch is key for me. 3 very usable tones at the flick of a switch and i do use all of them at a gig. I think my head was turned by a slimmer, racier model that is the precision. I now see the beauty again in my fat derrière Yamaha's.
  11. Just bought the orange 5 string from Curly Music. It's not in great condition. Barrel jack is faulty (as usual). G-string had been replaced with a D string. Needs a really good clean up, new strings, new barrel jack and it should be good to go. Curly Music gave me a pretty good discount off the price to reflect its current condition. It's surprisingly light for a 5 string but most importantly it's metallic orange. My Yamaha collection is on the rise again after I had previously sold my 5 Yamaha BB's as I fell out of love with shape of them and bought a few Fenders instead. Now have the BB 414, 424 and now 415. The 414 gets used for every gig.
  12. Really enjoyed that 👍
  13. I know exactly what you mean about the body shape. That's why I was so drawn to the G&L. With the current deal on Offer at Andertons you probably won't find a better playing, sounding bass anywhere
  14. I've got the pink G&L Tribute JB2. It's very light. Really nice neck. Typical jazz width but thicker front to back. The neck almost looks like it's untreated but has a very light finish applied to it. It sounds great with both pickups on full. It has plenty of other tonal options but the traditional both pickups on full works really well for me. Love the P style body shape. It's very comfortable to play and balances well. The pink finish is very pink and shiny. Almost wished I had picked a different colour.
  15. I've got the same combo and it is indeed a great sounding amp but am Sorely tempted to do the same modification. If i can can pick up a quality 15 inch speaker at a decent price then its happening.
  16. Used to own this. Its deafeningly loud. It more than capable for almost any gig.
  17. SOLD Had a short scale itch I've been desperate to scratch for ages. 2 weeks ago I finally got my hands on this Classic Vibe Mustang bass, courtesy of @itsmedunc It's super easy to play, able to fly around the neck comfortably. It's in excellent condition with no marks on it. Got some really great sounds in it too. Unfortunately for me I prefer all my full scale basses and I know I won't gig with this, so it may as well go to a new home were it will played. Would be willing to trade for an Ashdown Evo RM 500/800. Pick up preferred but can meet up in the Northwest. Postage is an option too.

  18. You will not find a better bass anywhere at this price. If I didn't already have this exact model I would definitely be snapping this up. Their very lightweight, sound exactly like a jazz should and also have a super comfy neck too. If your looking for a lightweight Jazz in a P shape body then it dosent get much better than this.
  19. I had the BB734A. It ticked a lot of boxes as a great all rounder. My problem was I couldn't stop fiddling with the active electronics. Every time I got a good sound I messed it up again by over fiddling. My BB 414 is just plug and play. Always sounds great. Hard to get a bad sound out of it. My other gripe with the 734A was the fingerprints on the matt Black finish. Suppose that's down to me in fairness. Should of picked the sunburst model when I was buying it.
  20. So tempted by this. Had one previously but foolishly moved it on. Replaced it with a mark bass 2 x 12 ninja cab. Now thinking replacing the Mark Bass cab. Going to avoid looking at this and Hope it goes away soon or am going to be driving through the Mersey Tunnel. GLWTS
