Just debating the merits of buying another bass with my wife who cannot understand why I need another one I currently have 4 and an acoustic and the same number of guitars but I bet this is a modest collection compared to some other basschatters. Please can somebody else tell me how many guitars they have in their collections so I can prove that it is not an obsession and is quite normal !

Just seen a picture of the Fodera Monarch in the basses for sale section along with a number of extremely positive comments but to me it looks butt ugly. The back looks like it's come off a 70's wardrobe and you could use the head as a shovel if you ever got stuck in the snow after a gig. (Beauty is in the eye of the beholder I know and I'm sure some people will love it ). Having never played a Fodera, I'd love to know what their appeal is and what differentiates them from other custom basses which could be bought at half the price.
