  1. Thank you Joe - yes, pretty much the same with the neck. I'm far from Jaco, but those who've played on this have all commented how wonderful it plays & with eyes closed is basically the best of the Fender MIJs!
  2. 1983 Tokai TJB75J Jazz Sound Bass Reduced to £600 Fabulous fretless playing just like it should & sounding even better. A little bit of history to how I found it is detailed in the link to the thread below, but essentially a special order 75 model based upon a Japanese lined & grooved black fretless 70 model. All original apart from the aged control plate & scratchplate along with NOS knobs. Most importantly it plays & sounds superb, but fretless is not for me any more so time to let go. A little stumped regarding pricing, as gut feeling is saying around £1000 if all original for an early Japanese 75 model in excellent condition, so £700 as it stands with the plate & control mods seems realistic *but now reduced to £600.* I’m in Bedford but don’t currently have a suitable case for shipping although I’m sure we could always arrange something if required, but would hugely prefer you to visit to have a noodle to see if it’s for you before parting with any lolly. My journey ID'ing it with Sigmania on the Tokai forum here: https://www.tokaiforum.com/threads/fretless-jazz-sound-tjb-xx.31075/ Not hugely interested in trades, unless it’s a fretted Fender or potentially a Jack Casady. Cheers Tim

  4. Congrats on the Peavey, & fully appreciate value is very different to cost - especially with a unique handmade scratchplate - perhaps you could make one yourself? All the best with your search T

  10. Brilliant - thanks so much oldslapper, order received & I've just Emailed you an easy to print template to get the ball rolling . . . 🙌
  11. This is absolutely true 🙌 Thank you so much for your kind words, & apologies for only just seeing your post - good grief! All the very best T
  12. Thanks Bassassin, exactly that - plus the actual case/body has different integral mounts so it's thrown me a bit. First world problem as it sounds great, but would be terrific to know who's behind it . . .
  13. Howdy all, Any of your gurus able to ID this humbucker? I'm curious as it's been plopped into an old Mustang seemingly a long time ago. The poles look remarkably Wal/DiMarzio but I haven't seen a case shape or mount like this before & it has a slight metallic sparkle to it - any ideas at all? Yep, it does sound stunning though! Many thanks Tim
  14. Guilty as charged m'lud 🫡

  20. *SOLD* Howdy all, Selling my 2021 Fender JMJ Mustang in Daphne Blue, mainly because I’m shallow & prefer the colour of my black one & I really don’t need two! I bought this directly from BassBros earlier this year & it certainly lives up to the hype these models have, as it’s a joy to play & sounds amazing with everything exactly as it should be. The action is low to medium & it’s strung with flats & currently sporting the pictured groovy scratchplate, as in addition to playing it I’ve used it as a model for my plates at GIG.INK - hence all the pics - so it'll come with your choice of plate plus of course its original white pearl plate along with the thumb rest. Alas no soft case, so collection only please unless you want to send me a case for shipping. Priced for collection from me in Bedford MK42 so you can have a proper noodle before parting with any lolly - & naturally chat over a brew too - but if distance is an issue then I will wrap it securely if you send me a hard case & arrange your own courier. Payment via BACS or PayPal plus fees please, & no low ball offers or trades please - or magic beans or golden geese - as I’m good for gear now. I’m behind GIG.INK to hopefully give you some faith in my word & that I’m traceable. Cheers Tim
  21. ❤️ Nice one Oops, deee-lighted to have been involved & I must say: Looking Jazzy! 🥸
  22. FANTASTIC! Dee-lighted to have been involved Dave & great to see him in all his gory - sorry, glory . . . Brilliant 😎🎸 Tim
  23. Yup, tort isn't high on my list either, but each to their own eh. Completely agree about neck & pickup - they are fantastic! I looked for a black one for YONKS, but of course they all were hiding then & only came out to play the moment I had the blue one! I've always gone for black, black 'n' maple, so this is somewhat of a change for me - but actually enjoying having a bit of colour in my life now . . .
  24. Ah yes, absolutely right! I did indeed post to try to stress I wasn't there to simply punt my wares, but to vent my creative juices 👌
  25. DO IT DO IT DO IT! 😂😂😂 Seriously, I don't know why but I've never been a fan of white pearl - yeah yeah, I know it's contentious - plus TBH I'm not a massive fan of the relic'ing either, but well, it'd be rude not to eh . . . 🥸
