1. Right, time to explain why it's been sat in my hall for some time now. Originally it should have been picked up at the end of February, but due to DHL being crap, it didn't. Inbetween then and now, we've had another series of very unfortunate events, which have kind of gained priority over it. I don't really want to go into too much detail, but I'll say that me and my brother have only been out of hospital for about a week or so now. Unfortunately, I've not really had time, what with catching up with some important coursework and school, and being stuck in hospital for a couple of weeks, to sort out collection, but I will get on it ASAP. Really sorry for holding this up so much, it's really not fair on everyone else.
2. I have now been back for around half an hour. Got Ric GAS now too... Good to put faces to names, and it was nice having a play on other stuff for once! I'll upload the piccies I took onto photobucket and stick em on here in a min. Edit - Ok, I shan't as BB has already done the same pictures effectively, and in a somewhat better quality.
3. Good job I'm not bringing an amplification, though I don't think it'd fit on the train... I'll give you a PM BB
4. Right, anyone offering lifts from the station? Me + 1 Ta very muchly ^^
5. Good good, sorry about the delay! Was stuck in with Tonsilitus for ages, then the post office decided to shut for a while...
6. +1 On the Wolstenholme Fender. I'd probabally have one. Do it with the Pickgaurd that's lost one of it's plys ^^ A Timmy C one would be good too.
7.
Tim Commerford is a prick.
Blasphemy! *Runs off and plays Bombtrack*
8.
ooh i'll also add the bass i've had GAS for pretty much since i began playing bass and never got round to buying - mark hoppus jazz, preferably in white, but any colour would make me happy. i dunno why i never got round to getting one, i suppose they're too expensive, and you don't see many second hand. i'm not sure what it is about the hoppus jazz, i'm more of n active bass person really, but i think its something to do with the sheer simplicity of the bass. it could also be that blink 182 were my favourite band for ages, and theyre still one of my favourites now. i don't know really, but theres still GAS for a hoppus jazz bass there, deep down, i've just learned to live with it. i still get that twinge of longing when i see one though.
Yeah, they are quite cool, though I always considered them to be more of a P with a J style pickguard/control plate. Also, I guess you've heard Blink have are reforming.
9. Chicken Wings, Voluvents, Cheesecake. Dunno, anything is fine for me.
10. It's been sat in my hall for a week or so, because DHL didn't come and pick it up. Me and M4L666 have hopefully got it sorted now...
11. Nice one! I'm just working on my grade 4 at the mo. It's the large walking bass solo bit I'm having fun with at the mo. I'm doing a jazz piece, so the rhythm is a bit awkward (for me at least).
12. There is indeed a VMJ, which I just managed to knock a small lump out of the neck >:l
13. Yeah, got that aswell. Good to know they actually read the petitions.
14. Golden Brown (The Stranglers) has a really odd time signature. The majority is 3/4 but in the chorus, every 4th bar is 4/4. I think the overall time signature is 13/4 or something.
15.
I really want to try one of these That and a VMJ or a classic vibe Jazz and one of Alex's cabs.......and and and
Tinman, you can have a play on my VMJ at the Notts Bass Bash, and please.
16. (Enter Captain JapCrap, Stage Left) Seriously, if anyone can help you on the JapCrap front, it'll be Bassassin...
17. You what? I mean yes, compared to some designs like some of the Yamahas and Ibbys the Jazz is a bit chunky, but overall "Whut?" is all I can say there. Herculean neck? Mine isn't! Infact it's pretty damn slim! And it's not long or anything, usual 34" scale. Perhaps 'Gig Stig' plays that smaller overstrung bass. You know, a guitar.
18. Do like Moskau. The Volkerball version is pretty awesome, though there could have been more Pyroness... Du Hast would be good to do Keine Lust is probabally one of my favourite, found the video yesterday, which is hillarious... Ich Will Mein Teil, though that is a really messed up song (what it's about that is) Links 2, 3, 4 You've really gotta go all out on the performances! Pyros, stage set-ups, costumes. The lot! If it all goes well and you end up around the midlands, I'll come and see you!
19. Been on it a bit a the start, haven't used it much though. Here is much better!
20.
All the presales tickets were put in (honest) and none were drawn out: yours was actually 96 on a yellow ticket. I'd bought 2 and they did not come out either!
Fair enough, wasn't expecting to get anything! Worth a shot though! Cheers!
21. Yeah, I'm hoping to see them at some point, as I heard rumors of an Autumnish album release. It will be payback for my friend dragging me to Slipknot (which was good, but I still don't really like them)...
22. Rammstein ist gut, ja? Yeah, I do like a bit of Rammstein... Any particular songs you're planning on doing then?
23. Chris Wolstenholme is probabally up the top of my list, along with Flea and Tim Commerford. By the way, if you think Hysteria is good, try Futurism. His stamina is insane, whilst some of the bass lines (eg Stockholm Syndrome) might not be too complicated they are ridiculously fast!
