I did think there were some strange things going on with the options John, but whatever this bass is, its succulent. How much do you reckon ball park? Keir

I just tried to price one up using the Warwick Price List PDF for all the options and just gave up - the price looked like it would spiral out of control early doors before I even got past the finish and inlays

came across pictures of an absolute knockout looking Streamer $$ are the blueburst finish and inlays custom order only or was this a limited run bass? I've never seen one like it Its beautiful

To fit guard or not to fit guard? That is the question!
bass wise i am officially complete!!! its over!!! its now time to enjoy what i have and stop lookin for something better!! im gonna try my hardest to not look in the for sale section again for a long time!! lol cheers chris
Chris,by saying you're going to try your hardest you know you are likely to succumb to GAS once more. and why not? half the fun is in the chase - see it, want it, buy it. you'll need to stop coming on this forum if you really mean your bass buying days are over as this place is the worst for giving GAS. I wish you well with your new found contentment but will it last?...I doubt it but trust me I understand where you are coming from with this cheers Keir -
the proline seems to have been in their catalogue forever. I always thought that one was very simple but elegant with the maple body, gold hardware and J pickups.

sold another guitar to pay for the SR5.this one doesn't need to sell now.thanks just bought a MusicMan Stingray 5 so this Sterling has to go candy apple red,2004 build, lovely maple neck with no fretwear, owned by me from new. comes with spare tort scratchplate as well looking for 650 GBP with MM case. If you can take it with a generic hard case (I would like to keep the MM case for my other Sterling if at all poss) I'll do the bass for 575 GBP . next day courier is 20 pounds on top of that thanks Keir

I have 2 of these basses which are pretty much identical save for colour and finish and the other I bought new so keeping that one. This one came to me in a trade deal last october with tonyf here on basschat. I believe it was owned by 3(maybe more ) basschatters before him. I'm pretty sure they'd all vouch for how good this bass is. The bass is in lovely condition. only real issue is there is a small hairline split on the headstock facing up by the SSD logo (only on facing veneer). It was like this when I got it and hasn't got any wose. you can see it in the bottom pic. apart from that there are some very small marks etc due to the oil finish and the gold has dulled down on the bridge somewhat. Also there are a couple of small marks on the inner lower horn which were profesionally repaired. again I got the bass like this - they are very small and they could just as easily be knots in the wood etc if you didnt know. just being honest for honesty's sake. Its 35" scale length,2 EMG soapbars.Spector tonepump preamp, solid flame maple wings.it comes with the generic hard case I got it with Looking for trade with a Bongo 5(HS or HH) or Lakland 55-02 Dlx,(maybe DJ5 or JO5) with some cash from me. I may consider other 5's but I am pretty much set on either of those listed here are the pics thanks Keir

played both the Tanglewood and Corts and liked them both. I've only tried the ones with the phenolic fingerboard,I'd like a shot at the Cort with the wood neck but I havent seen any in the stores up here

it looks lovely and a steal as you say. I was going to have a punt on it but ended up winning a Stingray V with my hard earned the day before

John Gustafson - all of Roxy Music's best work had this guys playing on it George Murray - Bowie's Low and Heroes "sound and vision" especially Chris Cross - first 3 Ultravox albums before the Moog took over - Dangerous Rhythm has a peach of a bassline Barry Adamson - Magazine albums Real life and Secondhand Daylight Paul Gardiner - Tubeway Army,Replicas and The Pleasure principle albums. His playing was very effective all the funk guys of the era were cool cats but these fellas could groove as well(though in a new wave stylee)

HI Ritchie, welcome , I know you are a massive fan of the MM Sterling(I'm Kompressaur on the EBMM boards) I hope to buy one of your Sterling LE hand me downs someday cheers Keir -
got pics? is it transluscent blue? fairly close to trans teal and very rare on a MM bass, only a small quantity were made in this finish and they only do the Axis and Albert Lee guitars in this colour now or is it transluscent blueburst? a personal fave, now only on the Steve Morse guitar either way it will be a stunner! cheers
Sorry to go off topic, but have to compliment you dub_junkie on your choice of avatar! Great album & a great cover!
Mr Foxnik you are obviously a man of good taste! Stranded was their best all round album and the sound of a band at their peak. Bass wise,John Gustafson's playing on "Mother Of Pearl" is just stellar and back on topic,I cant help looking at that HH Stingray...

FT : MusicMan Axis
dub_junkie posted a topic in Accessories & Other Musically Related Items For Sale
thought I'd give this a try here before the EBMM boards as I'm after a bass prefer my MM Albert Lee guitars nowadays for the stuff I play so up for trade is my 1998 Musicman Axis - trans gold over flame maple, birdseye neck,2 EVH Humbuckers,MM Floyd Rose, schallers with pearloid buttons, deeplid Musicman case means the trem arm can stay on the guitar when in the case has a little bit of fret wear on a few frets and the fingerboard/neck has discoloured a bit as they all do but plays, looks and sounds fantastically good - I think these are one of the best sounding guitars on the planet, but they're a bit too much of an animal for covers and idle noodling looking for a trade deal on a bass - something nice - like in my sig or similiar - 4 or 5 string - cash either way cheers -
Thinking of selling something and ordering one of these, been tinkering about with the interactive page on their website. http://www.status-graphite.com/status/cart...ames/frame1.htm any past or present owners on here? what were your choices on body woods, pickups, bridge etc? What was the order time? did it have a case or gig bag? Impressions? and lastly whats the "no step" woven carbon graphite neck? thanks

Story of my G&L L2000 Trib. & Am. Series Jazz
dub_junkie replied to rodl2005's topic in Bass Guitars
I really liked so many things about the American series Jazz and precision I owned in the past (the thru body stringing, fretwork and rolled fingerboard edges most of all) . I'll definetely be wanting another Am Series Jazz sometime I just sold on my Tribute L2000 to another forumite but I still have the same pickups/pre amp package in my Asat. I'm a bit biased towards the L2K/Asat electronics so it surprises me you couldnt get a warm, thumpin woody vibe off that bass. in passive mode its got some really nice tones without even switching the pre amp on but cool beans you found your sound with the Jazz
