See, I'm looking (again) at the viability of the HX Stomp as a small, easily portable "kitchen sink". It seems to be incredibly popular among the bass community, so perhaps it's a good road to travel down. To be fair, for me, it's more (these days) needing tonal variations rather than effects. I'm going to ask a fairly simple question, for which I'm sure, there'll be myriad answers.. I've used pedals for years. I've had huge boards (3 chorus pedals for 3 settings) and tiny (my current iteration). I see a lot of "tonight's setup for a funk gig" or "put this together for a rock covers gig". I guess my question is this: is this a new norm or an old concept, to put together a board based on the application thereof, instead of a board with one's favourite effects? Genuinely interested to hear your points of view.

I've got two older model Android Tablets. One, a 2016 Samsung Galaxy Tab E 9.6 and the other, a 2019 Huawei Mediapad T5. While neither will receive further updates, both are fully functional and perfect for reading charts, your digital magazines, and whatever else you can get to run on them. I used the Samsung for ages as a chart reader with Adobe Acrobat. Both have solid covers. Collect or P&0 at your expense. Many thanks, Julian aka Glassmoon

The problem is not the scale length, it's the overall size of the instrument. I have 2 35" scale length basses and the Cort is way bigger than the Ibanez (BTB). Were it only that easy...

I've been looking on the Thomann site and there are some nice options that won't break the bank, and are (internally), at least 124cm which leave a wee bit of wiggle room. My biggest issue, is that Cort don't respond the customer queries, and none of the Cort distributors in the UK seem to have any answer as to what gig bag my model bass could make use of. I have no idea if the Cort gig bags are decent or not - decent being a relative term of course - but for me, I want as much support and padding as my upgraded Levy bag (it was a double bag that I had converted to a single with additional bracing). I don't want to compromise by using just any bag - -nor do I want to spend hundreds... but it looks like I am going to have a tough time finding a viable solution. Thank you to @jrixn1 and @Jonesy

Hi all, I'm looking for a gig bag for my Cort GB75JH - which is a very long bass. It's a hair under 122cm, from the top of the headstock to end of the strap button on the body. It just squeezes into my Levy bag... but not in a way I am too happy with. Not looking to spend loads of money here, but looking for something that is solid and secure and most of all, can accommodate a long bass. My thanks, as ever, in advance... Julian aka Glassmoon
