Dood, Sorry I've no idea! I think I did use it with an LS-2 during my "trying to sound like Chris Wolstenholme" phase☺
I have an LS-2 left after selling some kit so it's likely I would 'blend' using that. I just wanted to find out from the readership if there would be any phase problems in doing so. I can test it here, but I don't have a CM2 yet. Either that, or the DarkGlass Vintage Deluxe is going to catch up with me beforehand!

I'd be interested to find out if this pedal works with a dry blend (and does it shift the signal out of phase thus requiring a phase switch on the blender).
I don't think the point is to make a Dingwall Thunderbird copy though, just a Thunderbird shaped Dingwall, so I'm not surprised it doesn't sound like a T-Bird.
Exactly!!
Hi dood, yeah it's settings shown, classic mode with all controls at noon except low (1 o'clock).Bass was a Squier vintage modified short scale jag with a pick. Thanks for your comments guys, might do some more of these pedal sound clips. It's a great pedal, kind of like my Pork Loin but with a harder edge. Thanks
Thank you! Much appreciated!

Thank you so much for sharing. Sounds like I need one in my life now! - So, are the settings you used the ones pictured? I'd be interested to hear what bass you were using too! Great sound. I like it!

B3 before the amp. done.

Where do you want your multi-effects placed? What's your budget? For the smaller floor based processors that are easy on the pocket, then yes you are right. The Zoom B3 for example is actually very good indeed. But if you are serious about your effects then Eventide and TC Electronic (my choice) are going to be on your shopping list. If you want premium amplifier simulations on your hardware too, then it's off shopping to Kemper and Fractal.
No, or at least I don't think it did. Limited experience with Thunderbirds though...
There's also such a wide range of Thunderbirds, there are plenty of Thunderbirds that don't sound like Thunderbirds...well.. other Thunderbirds. My favourite was in the hands of Paul Gray. A '76 I believe!
But does it sound like a Thunderbird?
Well, unfortunately for me, as I was testing out the bass, some selfish *ehem* people were having a volume war behind me that the headphones really had no chance of blocking out. Then, the batteries of the headphone amplifier gave up. I can however say that no, I don't believe the bass sounds exactly like a TBird. It does sound superb though.
I'm interested to hear how the triple p/up configuration in wired and how it sounds and what the controls do. I know it's a proto but it's quite the looker!
I spoke to Sheldon at length throughout the weekend about all things bass. I can tell you (and am excited and touched to find out) that the pickup switching is essentially my 'DV1' series modification that I posted a year ago. What's really interesting is that I further modified my AB1 about 4 months ago and brought it along yesterday to show Sheldon what I had changed. By coincidence both my AB1 and the DBird share the same configuration. So now they are, coils wired in parallel in each pickup then 'series only' configuration of the pickups : (except I have a PTone in series still) Neck and Middle Middle and Bridge Neck and Bridge All 3 Sounds great - but I would say that!
Been honing my slap technique in preparation for the weekend....
I've bought a new tin dustbin lid and some wooden spoons in preparation which my 2 1/2 yr old daughter will be playing throughout the afternoon.
This thread is kind of like an AA meeting where folks can confess their addiction without fear of ridicule
Which doesn't happen often on BC it seems!
-
You may have mentioned it before...
Ha ha!!! See how I anguish with the justification to make another gear related purchase? Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice! I just need to say it one more time!

I like surprising people by showing them that my 'bass cab' sounds great as a HiFi speaker when I play CD's through it. Then demonstrating how good it still sounds as the windows start rattling. Up goes the volume! Now, it wouldn't hurt to have another, right?

I'm embarrassingly rubbish with names at the worst of times and only slightly better when Ive had a good night sleep. I'd just like to take the time to say sorry if I can't remember your names when I say hullo. I'll have the trusty BC lanyard on; it'll be cool to meet some BCers!
or singer uses ear plugs, which means he's always asking us to turn up the monitors so he can hear himself, I always smile, sort of defeats the object of ear plugs I would have thought, IEM is another thread btw
I sing with ear plugs but my trick is not to put vocals in the monitor. Why? Well, I have moulded plugs and a set of different filters. -25dB and -15dB seem to be the ones I use most. You know when you have earplugs in, you can hear your voice inside clearly? I use that to my advantage by choosing which filter helps make the ambient volume similar to my 'inside head' volume. My band mates noticed a vast improvement in my pitching! Another bonus is that I pitch harmonies to the guitar and bass notes and not be thrown by other singing. cool eh!

I bet if you ask Dan & co they'd make you a custom one!

Beyer DT770 tracking cans for... Well, tracking, but also sound really nice for enjoying music too. I also have a really nice set of 1964Ears V8's that are sublime for everything from music for pleasure and of course, IEM duty as well as tracking. I like them both because they block out noise and also don't bleed my noise. It's a win-win for the household ha ha!

I've gone straight for the tweaking! I've already owned a good few of TC's other compressors including the Triple C, C300 and Nova Dynamics, so I couldn't wait to see if the SC could match those three - which are all triple-band comps too. I also own the HyperGravity which is great too and have saved a few patches on it already. There's so much flexibility, I've even managed to get the HG to act like a compressor AND EQ for some great 'valve amp' feel. Coupling it to a drive that remains tight in the lows and doesn't sound flubby is going to be a great match. I will try out the downloadable TonePrints too soon and will report back!
I have that setup, spectracomp into a vmt deluxe, although I've only just got the spectracomp so haven't played with it much yet. This thread has reminded me I need to have a look at it some more. What I have found is the spectracomp has transformed my line 6 xt live. The compressor models are rubbish in that unit, the little tc pedal lights it up now though.
The SpectraComp is amazing - the default setting is good, but getting the TonePrint editor on it is - well, there's no bass pedal on the market to touch it's editability ... is that even a word??? Thanks though, I think I need to try that pairing out!
