  1. Blimey, that Fishman on YouTube thing is nuclear. I use the Digitech iStomp with Swing Shift loaded, and it sounds OK, but not like the Fishman.
  2. Totally agree with the last comment. My current beat combo is a trio plus singer. Mind you, keys fill things out much better than guitar does. It gives me loads of room, which I take advantage of. I use pedals for octave, envelope filter and chorus, and we’re away. I used to be a guitar player, but I’ve almost completely recovered..
  3. ToneLIb is great, like Al says. I just use my B3n in stomp mode, so it's just like having three pedals in a row, but no crappy patch cords between them. I use the Envelope Filter, Bass Octave and a Tr-Chorus. Works fine!
  4. What a beauty, he said, with his nose pressed up against the glass.
  5. Go faster stripe? A nice sky blue would work.
  6. And I really do not like the look of overhanging cabs either (see above). That is nearly as bad as poor string alignment on a bass!
  7. I have read people on Talkbass saying that the 115 Traveller works with the102p, hence my interest. I didn’t consider that EQ might be an issue, but now I am. I do like the sound of 10” speakers for sure.
  8. What a pleasure to observe a craftsperson at work. Thank you for letting us see your work.
  9. That looks great, love that TV yellow. Reminds me of Jeff Beck Strats.
  10. Very interesting pickup indeed. I would to know how it sounds.
  11. Wow! Shiny! Is that bridge pickup the same dimensions as an MM humbucker?
  12. True dat. I’m not a fan of distortion or drive type sounds anyways. But I have tried a few drive pedals with it, and it sounds okay, but what would I know?
  13. Well, I got me an SR500 a couple of weeks ago, and I am very pleased with it indeed. It has the Barts which get not much love, but I am totally digging on this thing. Light, nicely made, great neck. Pity about the turd brown finish, but maybe a coat of Liberon finishing oil might jazz it up a tad. It sounds great! It's my first active bass. I also picked up a Sterling Sub Ray 4 last week, and the Ibanez is way more versatile, but I like them both very much. Both are great bang for buck. Now, I just need a fretless version of the Ibby. Maybe I'll get me a 370e and yank the frets out. How does that sound, people?
