1. It's fabulous.. Also, this sale has Totoro AND a dog in it. Great stuff.
2. No boos or hisses from me. I just wonder, can you really revert it to stock if you rout for a MM pickup? And, if the current J represents the MM bridge coil, is there enough room without having to remove/relocate the P? As for the aesthetics. I too would change things around (not really a fan of all that black). I'm not against relic'ing, really. I think anything goes, but I know I wouldn't bother trying to make the thing look authentically worn. I'd just do a straight refinish. You should do whatever you want but, again, if you're thinking of reverting back to stock to sell it, your refinish is really going to affect the value.
3. Very interesting. Also, it looks like it weighs a tonne.
4. Just wait until Warwick decide to switch to the IMPACT font and this'll be perfect.
5. Eugh. Guitars are such a tiring little Boys Club sometimes. (Lots of sometimes) Anybody seen photos of an eBay auction with some topless fella posing "erotically" with a guitar?
6. Yeah, I've seen this desperate pile of crap a few times. Just burn the thing. "The body is made of a thick ply material" ....."material", eh?
7. yeah, I'm sticking with my RC2 but that does look nice and neat. I read some spiel that said "EHX’s goal was to build an affordable looping pedal..." but I doubt it's going to be as affordable as comparable pedals. We'll see.
8. SO nice. The Fortress is their best body shape, imo. With the exception of the ugly 'lipstick' pickups, I'd love to have a Fortress Flashback. Happy New Bass Day
9. The highlight of this is definitely the slightly cropped battery cavity. Great planning there.
10. I'm far from an expert on this.. very far. But I've seen videos and read advice about truss adjustment that basically boils down to this; the truss rod isn't there to do any heavy lifting, it just holds the neck in a particular position. So, the advice is to loosen the truss rod, bend the neck yourself to the required relief (trying to allow for subsequent string tension) and then tighten up the rod again to hold the neck in that relief. I have to say, I saw this more in discussions by luthiers/techs fixing quite badly bowed necks.
11. I'm still convinced that Peavey are the most under-rated basses out there. For the money, these are fantastic. I just can't go back to 35" scale but I would love this. Good luck with the sale.

13. wow, go handy, jeweytheroux. That's a hell of a price drop. In fact, there's a load of lovely basses for sale here at insane prices. The few people who are in the market to buy must be having a whale of a time. This is bound to go at 500. GLWTS
14. Always loved the Fortress shape. Beautiful bass. GLWS
15. Funny, @chrismuzz, my first electric bass was pretty much this but orange/red. It was called the Dynabass, but that's not the same as the actual Peavey Dynabass. ....confusing. Anyway, it's a lovely bass. Good luck with the sale
16. oh wow! Beautiful bass. There's another ATK for sale on BC at the minute and they're mighty tempting. This is a bit of a crappy year for me, bill-wise, so I won't be buying anything but, if this does go back under the bed, I'm sure I'll come knocking eventually. Good luck
17. oh, wow, this looks sooo good. I usually only like natural finishes but this looks really amazing. I'm just too scared to buy a bass I've never played (never seen one of these in Ireland). People say these have a thick neck but is that just relative to the usual insanely-slim Ibanez neck? Or is it actually thick compared to other brands? Good luck with the sale
18. Interesting idea all right, but it looks incredibly awkward to play and, more importantly, it sounds awful.
19. Thanks for taking a look/listen I just had the actual songs on mixed into my headphones but I had the volume too low so I was mostly drowning it out... but I just ploughed on anyway. Thanks for the tip, Bilbo. I think I just need to play slow for a while. It's all too tense and in a hurry. Need to caaaalm down. I also need to find a way of accidentally recording myself so I don't get all self-conscious and tense up.
