I was only checking in regularly to see if a sudden miracle had happened and somebody had a toroidal transformer for my amp.....

Apparently, and I've only learned this knowledge recently, the step down refers to the input voltage. So in goes 240v and it gets stepped down to 110v.

As an avid Eden fan and having bought an Eden amp needing some surgery I found out that Marshall have sold the Eden brand and UK stock to Gear4Music. Not quite sure what to make of that.......

Thanks Matt. I'm beginning to think that is best. Just waiting on Eden who are now owned by Gear4Music to get back to me to see if there's any UK stock and then it'll be a step down transformer. To be honest it'll be easier and cheaper that way as, although handy, I'd not trust myself wiring in a replacement xformer. Cheers. Vin

I just got through to the service department at Marshall who said that Eden made different transformers (not multi tap) for different countries so I'd need either a UK voltage transformer or a step down transformer. Still haven't got it to have a peep yet though......

He reckoned he’d been in touch with Marshall USA and they’d said it couldn’t be modified but it wouldn’t surprise me if they didn’t know what they were taking about.....

The seller says in the ad that the PSU is not multi country. Has he got it wrong?

Eden WTP600. I have a bad Eden addiction......

Morning Basschatters I’ve taken a punt on a USA voltage amp and need a suitable step down converter. The amp runs 600w at 4 ohms and 900w peak I think. I’ve read that I need double the wattage capacity so a 3kw transformer would do but can anyone recommend one that would be suitable please and advise of that sort of capacity is right? Thanks

That’s in very very good condition for a 44 year old Fender P. Best combination too of gloss black with maple. I’d say it’s worth well over £2k. Not the normal dross you see by any means.

That really is very nice. I had it in my watch list but then I realised how much trouble I'd be in if I placed a bid and won...........

That's quite a good price for a USA Flea jazz (I'd call it a jazzish myself)
