1. They're really very good. Really thick neck mind, that said the pickups are great! I've got a black one, wish it was white with a black plate. It's my favourite colour combo.
2. Sounds like a plan, I reckon my guitarist will probably want to nab it... unlucky for him it's going to be in a rack case screwed down so he can't get his hands on it haha
3. Oh it was cheap as chips, I've not got my hands on it yet as it's being held hostage until Christmas since the parents paid for it. Like I said I'm only really using it to give my head a bit of dirt, it's been upgraded with a Mesa Boogie valve. Am I right in saying I can hook it up through the effects loop despite it having a valve pre-amp? The dropout isn't gonna be a problem cos I'll be using one effect all night
4. Sad times cos these are cracking basses at stock, let alone with a few nice mods. I really wish I could get a WHITE relic version with a black plate.
5. Oh I like! Not interested in any trades are you?
6. Bump... Anyone had any experience with Zoom rack effects at all?
7. What ball park are you looking at for cash?
8. Seriously interested in this, could you hold it for me until tomorrow so I can see if I can wangle this is a Christmas gift?
9. Hi all, I'll shortly be getting my hands on a Zoom 9150 Valve DSP. The intent is to put it through the effects loop on my head, does anyone have any experience with these units? I'm hoping to achieve a nice growl sound out of it in the Gene Simmons/Lemmy ballpark.
10. Here's one of many photos my father got from the NEC. I'll get him to bung them on a CD and I shall pass them on to you in Cardiff.
11.
Cheers matey! It was our pleasure. See you & your mate at Cardiff.... and please bring as many others with you as you can! This show is now an ALL AGES show (under 16's with an adult) and we should have some 'burlesque' dancers joining us onstage for a song or two... and maybe providing some entertainment before the show.
Sounds good to me Will they 'Take it off'? Christmas will be coming early!

Distortion?

Hi all, I'm looking to add some nice growly distortion to my sound for my new project. I've got a lovely Randall Bi-Amp which I got from Oldgit a few months back, I'm looking to put a distortion through the effects loop on the low end of the amp and keep the high end clean for clarity. I'm looking for a nice grungey tone, Lemmyish perhaps. Can anyone suggest a nice reliable pedal that's relatively cheap? Cheers
13. Cheers Gary, was good to meet you. Thanks a lot for the interview, thank Ash on my behalf also. You played superbly, my mate was very very impressed. I shall see you at the Cardiff show
14. Such a lovely bass that, why do I have to be broke?
15. This is feedback for the Squier 51 bentdice sold to my friend Bill. Spotted it on the boards, after a few messages back and forth a deal was arranged. The guitar arrived to Bills satisfaction, and we're happy all round. Everyones a winner. Cheers mate.
16. How much are you looking at for each one?
17. Looks like a Prince bass
18.
The Gordon Smith LP has a cult following in the Punk scene, most Punk bands I play with use them.
Charlier Harper himself owns a Gordon Smith, so does Nicky Garratt and little old me
19. Even though I wasn't too familiar with the brand I thought it was a good deal on spec I'm desperate to know which Tune it is and how much it would've cost new
20. Got a swap
21. Cheers for that Do you think it's Japanese or Korean?
22. Ok so I bit the bullet and bought it. Here's some photos, if anyone could identify it or give me a little information I'd be very grateful
23. I love it haha. Bootsy is a complete legend, and that's up there with the Axe bass is the world of iconic instruments
24. Thanks Musky, seems to me that the Tune brand is a massive mystery... at least identifying the origin of the instrument.
25. Interesting! Any idea of how I could tell if it's an original Japanese or a Korean?
