  1. Again, what i said, that is just a fake ric, or fraud. That is different to something that is clearly not a ric but ric shape. If you advertise something as a rickenbacker, and it isn't, that is clear fraud. If you advertise something as a ric shaped bass, that isnt fraud.
  2. I think there is quite a difference between a fake ric, which I don't think any agrees with, and a ric styled bass. It is pretty obvious that none of those chickenbackers are rics or trying that hard to be like them.
  3. Love the Gus basses - still keep wishing that one would turn up at some price I could afford at the time, but I suspect it won't. Also shame I never got to the WGW. I was due to go in 1996, had the ticket for me and my girlfriend and everything but then me and my girlfriend had one of those not being together any more issues that stopped us going, then I moved to the states, so by the time I came back I was very out of the scene.
  4. I got the ZARs tonight, they sound nice, but honestly not too much removed from the ZS10s, they have a more defined middle, and a tighter top. Happy to have them (apart from the cable not being the same, so I need a new headphone lead as the ones they come with are the auto-tangle ones) and they are more comfortable in the ears. I think they will help love with a reduction of cymbal noise!
  5. Certainly there is a lot more, a lot we already know about that are the rock stars of the day who had admitted to somethings but that was somehow acceptable back then. I mean if GG hadn't taken his PC to pc world with tons of child porn on it, why would anything have come out? That was all he was done for originally.
  6. That must feel odd leaving after that long!
  7. Yeh, I think one of the main problems there is not knowing. If you all know that most people are getting x and one is getting y, that is at least up front.
  8. Yeh, I think I would be a bit miffed by that, all the groups I have been in have just been a wad of cash split n ways. Unless you have been employed by some organisation as a hired help, not sure why it would be different.
  9. I know the cold thing, that messed my singing up - but why does the guitarist get twice as much as anyone else?
  10. How old is the iPad? I have a Air2 which is now out of update support (my music one) and one of the first pros (my day to day one). can you do a screenshot of what you are seeing? Also maybe can you try changing the theme (using the drop down that is down there V somewhere)
  11. I must admit I never liked that I have the advantage of having a blanket ban on oasis.
  12. Up close and personal kind of gig, a bit too up close because someone hit the end of my microphone stand hitting my microphone into my teeth, and a bit too personal as a rather drunk young lady forgot to not keep herself clothed in public! So this was the first gig with no bass amp, and as my dwarf is off being fixed I was playing with the zoom. It was the first time with 2 Evox8 speakers. It takes a bit of getting used to it, and for some reason the mixer was working weirdly, and as the keyboard player has a huge monitor speaker hard to get the sound right. It sounded quite good at the start but people complained the vocals weren't loud enough although this might be positioning, as the guitarist has now put his amp up high and point out to the crowd, if you are on that side that is all you can hear. But as I pointed out, sound through their monitor is their issue, it causes feedback sometimes and unbalances things, and the guitarist looks to me to sort it out, but I point out it is their monitor. I was getting over my cold, my first songs sounded ok, but then I do the high bit in crazy horses and my voice just said, nah, not doing those notes, would you like another note just a bit lower? So I cancelled doing any of my songs (which is only a few after that, although one of our encores). my voice even for backup vocals started getting bad after that. Glad my main songs were at the beginning! I recorded it, but unfortunately as it was on the guitarists side, it is basically just his guitar. Still, hugely interactive crowd (possibly too interactive at times), and not a bad gig at all.
  13. Did this start happening last week, as we had an update, it could be that your iPad had cached the old styles and the new style is breaking it - when we do an update it often does that with no button and menus not working untill we rebuild the pages on the cache, then it is fine. Really sounds like you need to clear your iPad if it is working on your windows machine, assuminng noone else is having this on their iPad (I know im not on two ipads but that is a small sample size!)
  14. Yeh its one of their boy band ones isn't it. We do In the end by linkin park and that goes down well.
  15. thats a good set. I love doing she, but the rest of the group want to drop it because its not that well known.
  16. No that was the 14 year old who had already sold her story to the paper, and a large part of why her story wasn't believed. The 8 year old had happened in 1975, and it was deemed to old to deal with as it had happened 14 years ago and it hadn't come forward before (even though it had).
  17. I saw the GG thing last night, I was surprised that in the 1999 trial they threw out the case of the 8 year old as it was too old, and that when it did get in the paper, the fact he had sex with a 14 year old when he was 49 was there as a sideline to the shocking reveal that he was actually bald.
  18. Of couse not, its not like if you had a title you could get away with it or something.
  19. I generally go for one more from the road, which I think was probably the first album I bought of theirs.
  20. ok, will give it a try - I still have my zooms while I am waiting for my Dwarf to come back
  21. I always found the B1-Four to be quite noisy, noisier than the HX FX in general, but not so noisy you would actually hear it when gigging. Never even thought of the noise reduction as I assumed that was for external noise.
  22. Can you grab and resize them as text boxes are resizable in safari on the iPad, maybe something got stuck as a default. I was on my iPad earlier and didn't encounter any issues, Failing that, resetting your cache on the iPad might clear this. Do you have issues on other sites?
  23. On MPE all channels would be one patch but the dynamics of that channel are sent per string. So if you do a string bend (again probably not with a hammond organ) why would you want all the strings to bend by the same amount - pitch bend is a per channel message, normally you would just want the bending to be done on the string that did it not all the strings. Not having mpe reduces that flexibility and takes you back to why are you putting up with the downside (over a keyboard) of poor response when you are not using the upside of expression. The GR pedals process the signal directly as well, but that is a cover on the tracking, not too surprising as the GR55 is 13 years old now, came out basically when the first iPad did, the speed of processing has changed a lot (although the speed of calculating a frequency from a wave not so much). So it seems like the technology is the same, but a bit more modern and with the midi built in.
  24. Sounds interesting. The MPE makes sense, not sure why you would want anything other than that on a guitar (but then I have several MPE controllers and synths) So does it work in any useful way, and what does it give you that the Roland doesn't?
  25. Because its one more innit - bound to be better
