Starting a guitar/bass blog need some help please
Woodinblack replied to stonevibe's topic in General Discussion
I went there too, sadly I also clicked on the accept all button which enabled me to see that squier had released a shell pink bass VI. I didn't need to know that Very nicely laid out site (apart from that!) -

I mean, as virtually no online shop on the internet can work without cookies, do you not do any online shopping, and what are you doing on basschat? I see a virtual ton of session cookies, login cookies, timezone cookies going all the way back to april. -

Any cookies? So no online shopping etc? -
I have an ibanez SA. Not great but not bad, not something I use much, and I also have a gibson and a few others, mostly I play the indie. Always wanted an RG, but not much poiunt when you dont play it much. And I do have a yamaha RG, which is a copy!

No it has a section on the stereo looper and also a few more quotes. I did check when I said it. Any stereo aux that comes in goes out to the headphones as stereo, so the output is certainly stereo from aux. However, I just checked a direct A/B between StereoBassCho* on both the B1/four and the B3n, and if the B1/four is stereo they have really masacred the output of that effect when they did it. I tried it on the B1/4 and it certainly didn't sound stereo (from my unscientific listening), then tried the same effect (both as default) on the B3n and it really sounds deep and wide, just like a stereo chorus. There is just a depth / rate / locut and mix controls on both and they are set to the same. If that really is stereo, they have screwed something up! And as previously mentioned, I don't care if it is stereo or not from my use, other than having got one, I wondered what the difference from the B1/Four and B3n. There is a cost difference, even now, I wondered what that difference is due to, an I am reckoning (without a scrap of proof!) that it doesn't have the same level of DSP processing that the B3N does. *Picked as it was the first stereo patch on the B1Four.

Shuker, ACG or Sei Basses for a custom build?
Woodinblack replied to PatrickJ's topic in Bass Guitars
When it comes to customs, it is easy to say "I want a ACG/Sei/Shuker" etc, but I find it helpful (like tattoos) to pick the luthier from the stye of work they do being what you want. Of course they could all do anything, but they have their strengths. I have a Shuker Uberhorn and I have had an ACG Recurve (and looked into an alpher), but the thing is, they are not that much like each other. Although you can customise what you want, change string spacing, wood types etc, ultimately a shuker mostly looks like a shuker and an ACG mostly looks like an ACG. I would happily have either in a heartbeat if I could afford it (and there is a 32" headlace salace that was calling me on the latter), but I find it a lot easier to look at what they have done (they all have pages of their previous creations), and find something you do like as a starting point. -
Let's talk about pitch correction.

Indeed, if you scroll back you will read the part that says 'unlike the B3n that mentions it'. There is no doubt the B3n does stereo. But thanks anyway!
-
I guess I might use that occasionally but probably not so much around the house. i use the Spark for headphone practice which has the ipad via bluetooth and is conveniently by my chair. That is certainly stereo, but it also has dual speakers so it does that too. The B1-four would be handy for a quick jam on I guess, but not if it also has to have another cable to the iphone (and live I have the helix FX)

well, that is the advantages with racks in general - there is a hell of a lot of choice, and used rack stuff is so cheap. I am often drawn to it down the cost and flexibility but then there is the size etc.
-
This was a guitarist with a full rack thing (excellent young guitarist), stereo rack guitar effects, the graphic and rack pa amp. if you have already decided to go to the rack route it opens up a lot of options
-
I wasn't taking it as rude, I just assume it wasn't and I can't try it at the moment! I mean I am not bothered anyways, mine would never be used stereo anyway, but just interested now.
-
Not personally used it but the guitarist in a friends group used one on his synthy rig system and swore by it

I haven't found anything that said it has stereo out, just that it is a stereo plug. I have several mono only products with a stereo plug, I mean, it wouldn't work well if it didn't. and I didn't say you said it had, it was a comment. I haven't had a chance to really test it as I have only had mine a few days. I assumed from reading the manual that it wasn't stereo. Because they are the same effects they use in all of their products, some of which are stereo to maintain patch compatibility? Who knows. I will have a listen on headphones tonight
-
It doesn't anywhere say it is stereo out, it says it supports stereo headphones, but no mention anywhere else in the Manual or specifications of any stereo processing.
-
The word stereo only appears twice in the manual, relating to the headphones, but no mention of any stereo processing, whereas the manual for the b3n mentions that the looper can be stereo.

Indeed - if you look at most chart songs, the credits for songwriting is a long list including management companies etc.

Yes, subtle gold, like this:

Although in several large recent cases, people have had to give away large amount of royalties because of (common) chord progressions in US legal cases.

I have ordered from bax in the last few months over the £135. The price had vat on the website, I paid that price, it was sent from Holland and arrived a few days later, no additional costs

Honestly, one thing I have always noticed is that if you are positive and productive you don't spend a lot of time on social media telling people you need to be positive and productive. Likewise, being kind to people, looking after your friends, supporting your friends businesses etc.

Bands you once hated but are now coming round to
Woodinblack replied to Barking Spiders's topic in General Discussion
Same here, I used to really hate the smiths, but now I really like their music when morisey isn't singing, the songs are really well put together, the basslines are fun to play and Marrs guitar work is excellent, but morissey just ruins it for me. -
Love poplar burl, in fact a 30" poplar burl headless sounds pretty perfect.

Not bad but I think I am holding out for one of @Jabba_the_guts beautiful short short scales
