  1. I have used my bam200 in a practice (which is nearly as loud as a gig), but don't think I would use it on its own in a gig.
  2. Yes, I just went to read his comment. he felt that noone really appreciated it as they never went in the studio together, so assume he hadn't done much.
  3. He was one of the people playing keys on it, there were several and both Waters and Gilmour said he had next to no creative input in it, which is why he was sacked. Although I suspect that was more Waters idea. It started a long time before 85 and I suspect will stay forever.
  4. Yes, but that isn't creativity - that is a remix of an old album. Maybe better, maybe worse but it isn't new. Why? He had no involvement by all accounts in the Wall and that did ok.
  5. Well, they can as they haven't made anything* in a long time * that you would mention in polite company
  6. My watch occasionally buzzes on stage telling me that there are unsafe volume levels, but it has never made any interference (and it has a cellular connection). Had noise from something sitting next to a mixer. If you say it was pre-pickup, does that mean turning the volume down on the instrument removed it? I guess there had to be some large transmitting element nearby - wireless systems in the venue (like communications things) or local taxi area out of the back? Maybe even electricity substation, although with those fixed issues, I assume someone in the venue would have warned you about them.
  7. Wary of remixes of things I know, there was a trick of the tail remastering, which was so bad that i physically threw it out, it actually changed the structure of ripples and removed its core being. I will listen to the animals one here though as for some reason I could never get into that album, maybe this will help it.
  8. Noone left a phone on top of an amplifier or something?
  9. Umm.. when was it an easy drive??
  10. People should probably carry on as long as they want - it is up to the people going to know whether they want to see them or not. I could have seen Rush on my birthday a few years back as one of their tours but I know that Geddys voice is bad and I wouldn't enjoy it, so I didn't go, but maybe other people would like it. Again like the genesis tours last year, would have loved to see Genesis but not with Phil like that (and not with the crazy prices to see it), so it was my choice not to go, but its up to them whether they want to tour or not.
  11. 3 - depends. Obviously if you boost the same frequency twice you will have twice the boost on that frequency and that might mess things up a bit. 4 - Generally I would have a noisegate near the start or at the end, but not both.
  12. We can't really afford the security escort for one
  13. Is your guitarist in some kind of witness protection program with his face blurred out?
  14. He hasn't been on the forum for 5 years.
  15. I suspect you might get more help if you change the title to Cab build query!
  16. I presume he left and wanted his profile removed, he isn't listed any more. The guest thing is the database holding the structure of threads together.
  17. Handy to know, thanks. Are they the official ones sponsored by Wensleydale, or actual metal ones?
  18. Better practice the national anthem then. Starts on G.
  19. I presume that mixing station works for it though? Loads of people seem to prefer that anway.
  20. Is that just the pitch shift, ie, that wobble is the pitch shift shifting?
  21. I have a yamaha (and older model) which I love, because it is 'just' a piano (to be fair it does have the options of another couple of voices but I never use them) and sometimes it is good to play just a piano and focus on what you are playing rather than the sound (the sound is fine but, its just a piano). Above it I have a synth in case I want to play synth stuff, worry about sounds and control issues. The piano is midi'd up, as sometimes I use it to record midi from, but I wouldn't actually really use it as a master keyboard for anything, I would use the roland with its synth keys and controls. Or if I wanted real control I have the roli or linstrument. Point is, for me, a piano is a piano and a synth / controller is a synth controller, and although I would run a piano sound from the synth, I wouldn't really run a synth from the piano
  22. There are loads of bass players there, but by now they have probably gone home!
  23. Not me, I had a westone guitar and it was fantastic. I went to get something else from Telecoms in portsmouth and they just had some of the first westones there - they played so well, everyone loved them. They were like the first actual budget guitar that I saw that actually played very well. I modded it so heavily and I would say it was my first useable guitar, replacing my Kay Pine Strat POS edition.
  24. He did, I sent the details and never heard back!
  25. I guess your bass bashes are quiet affairs!
