1.
Erm, well I guess £40 or there abouts, less if possible. I can't remember if you had something on your list? If I can find a second hand unit all the better.
I have a Tech21 Comptortion for £60 (inc. postage)...It's a great distortion pedal. Ant and Toasted will tell you the same
2. How much are you looking to spend?
3. Zender takes the top spot for me...But Paul Turner is definitely a VERY cool cat indeed.
4.
Yeah, it was the AC part i was worried about. cheers
You can get an adaptor from Maplins that will power this pedal, or you can actually use the Line 6 one that is intended for the modeller pedals like the DL-4, FM-4 etc. They're cheaper than the actual DigiTech supplies at least.
5.
I bought a used one off PauBass off here a while ago for the guitarist in my band. It's really well built but the new prices seem a little steep to me.
That's the only reason I won't buy one. £50 for a double true bypass loop? Feck off.
6.
its changed quite a lot since you last saw it. got rid of the behringer BDi21 it was bad, and didnt have a "middle" pot
Matt, I love the compactness and simplicity of your board. Not too sure on the distortion - but if it works for you then great. The other pedals you have are quality. Thanks to you I had some gas for the Keeley compressor, but luckily it's evaporated after learning that it's not too friendly with actives.
7.
pm launched.
Hellbaby sold - Thanks Roady!
8. MXR Auto Q, Godlyke Power All, FX25 and Loop-Master looper sold!
9. Distortion->Chorus->Delay->Tuner I put the tuner at the end as it will also work as a mute, silencing any noisey pedals you might leave on between songs... Distortion into Chorus sounds really good, if you did it the other way round the chorus tends to get completely drowned out by the distortion. Delay is at the end so that you can delay the effects going into it, and not applying distortion to the delay, etc.
10. Very nice review Joe...It actually sounds really tempting to get one of these for my new board.
11. Godlyke and Loop-Master back up for sale. Matt - The Hellbaby is really transparent, your bass tone comes through clear underneath a layer of grit. With the boost knob on minimum, its a nice Timmy C-ish grind, but when it's on full, its very dirty indeed. No low end loss either.
12.
Isn't it the only looper you've used? Personally I prefer the DD-20 as its a better delay than the Akai as well.
I suppose...The Echo Park probably doesn't count as a Looper
13. Photo's available Here. I've only had time to take a few but I will be adding more pics and also maybe a couple more items for sale too. Cheers.
14.
Yes, I've seen them thanks, I'll give you a shout if I'm interested.
Cool
15. Rayman I have a Bass Auto Q for sale if you want it. I also have a Chunk Systems 00Funk for sale which has a downward filter on it. Let me know if you want either of them.
16. Ok guys, just a couple of pedals left: Barge Concepts VFB-2 Custom - This is an effects loop with a blend on it so you can blend in your clean signal and won't lose any low end. It's all stock, except it has a 3rd footswitch to bypass the blend knob so your signal is 100% wet, and still has the feedback loop too. A brand new stock one will cost you about £70 with shipping, so how about £85 shipped for this modded version. Fulltone Fat Boost - This is a gem of a pedal. Add some light grit or a touch of sparkle to your sound! No low-end loss, I left it on all the time for a bit of sparkle on the high end and some grit on the bass freqs. As new condition, with original box. Velcro on the bottom, but it avoids Mike Fuller's signature. £95 shipped.
17. I've used both, and needless to say, it's the Mu-Tron that I still own. I didn't get to do a direct comparison, but I sold my Q-Tron after getting a Maxon AF-9, and then sold the AF-9 (even though I LOVED it) because I got the Mu-Tron. Just spend a little extra cash on the real thing instead of trying to get imitations of it.
18. He has used one. It's on his "Spontaneous Jamming Techniques" DVD/Video he did. I think it may have been used on Around the World too, with some studio enhancement to make it sound better.
19. I bought one to sell on - It's a fantastic piece of kit and wish I didn't have to get rid of it.
20. http://filters.muziq.be is probably the most comprehensive list I have ever seen.
