Regarding feedback, I recently sent out some brand- new- but - cut to length strings on approval before payment ( at my suggestion) to a member who has excellent feedback from some senior Basschatters. The individual in question then claimed the E string had broken. No problem I said, I have another almost identical practically unused E string I can send you later today , shall I do that ? No reply, so after 24 hours I sent it anyway just in case he needed it , all at my own expense. The next thing , I get a PM saying he has bought a new set that afternoon, "what do you want to do? " I replied that he could keep the strings as a spare set with my compliments. What pisses me off is firstly that the fellow didn't tell me he had decided to buy a new set, and thus save me the expense and inconvenience of sending a replacement string, and, far, far more than that, after I told him to keep the strings for free, he didn't even say thank you or indeed acknowledge me in any way. Not so much as a" hello", "goodbye" or" kiss my arse". That is quite literally the definition of ignorant behaviour. Presumably he regards me with such disregard that I am not worth one more moment of his attention. All the other Basschat members that have had dealings with this chap apparently think he is wonderful. To me, he is the worst kind of timewaster, even if it is over a very small item. I didn't leave any feedback for fear of rocking the boat and causing a dispute that have no time or energy to get involved in , but it does make you wonder how reliable some people's feedback is. Are folks as likely to leave negative feedback as they are the positive kind when usually they are buzzing after buying something new that they like or getting paid for an item they wanted to sell? I couldn't really care less about such a small sum of money, but it is not nice to go out of your way to be fair to somebody and then be treated in such a contemptuous way. The chap is welcome to the strings, but he is not welcome to treat me like an idiot. That is Mrs Dingus' job.
I know what you mean you have every right to be annoyed some people eh?
I don't think I am missing the point. I just think you're struggling for a come-back.
You think that have a nice weekend xx
I think you're missing the point. Contacting them isn't the issue. Coming on here slagging them off instead of going through the proper channels is. It's just shabby, IMO.
I think you are missing the point so I think as we are not going to agree we should draw a line under it and move on there is nothing more constructive to say
Maybe they're just classier than that. Let's not forget, they've done nowt wrong. Anything they do to help you is out of courtesy because you didn't do what you were supposed to do.
Well I tend to disagree I am more than in my rights to contact them if I think the item is unfit for purpose even if had returned them to the retailer I could still of contacted Warwick to air my views and at the end of the the day I was not happy with the service I had back I and I thought it was pretty poor anyway things are looking up so I am cool
If you're going to tarnish a brand's reputation, it's only fair to back it up with facts, i.e. publish their exact reponse. It's nice that they're helping you now, but to be fair they shouldn't have to.
That is your view and you are entitled to it but if THEY wanted what they had to say said in public they would of posted in the main chat and not of sent me a private message
Don't think we'll find out the outcome now, as the op has left the thread ;(
To be honest I had but I thought I would leave a little update I had a lovely little chat with a very nice lady from Warwick and she understood the issue and we will discuss it some more and I will not be putting the positive response in the open forum either as if it was meant to be said in public they would of said it in public and I still maintain that it is very unethical to put private messages on an open forum board that is the whole point of it being private if this upsets any of the people who who seem to think they are Judge , Jury and Executioner but really are quite insignificant well sorry in advance Now could we please try to be civil and keep things moving along in an adult manor? we all all grown ups after all
