Hi guys my son wants to sell his guitar and I have no idea what it is worth I have done some research on the net and have not really come up with anything apart that it may of been made in west Germany or Japan which really does not help much and I dont see any form of serial number on it, It sounds really good I bought it for my boy about 5 years ago and the guy I bought it from did not know much about it either so I was kind of hoping some of you guys may know some thing about it and a ball park value it is worth obviously I would like to get as much as I can for my boy he is only 11 and is on a fund raising mission already. I will be advertising this for sale in the BC market place when I hopefully know more about it thanks in advance

Sale Only Please £145 No Trades as I need the money and please no silly offers this is as low as this goes and it is more than a fair price This is the V4 icon series it has all Wilkinson hardware a nice chunky maple neck and is in really good condition apart from one small mark on the back that I will show in the photos I have made the following upgrades to the bass fitted a MIM Fender pickup, a KIogan wiring loom and Fender F type strap locks (originals included in sale) The bass has also been fitted with neck sustainer inserts as when I bought the bass from gear 4 Music they sent it with the neck off and I did not like the look of the screw holes so bought the sustain kit and installed it on the bass so now it has a better neck installation than it did from the factory and it has plenty of sustain It is also fitted with a reasonably new set of Picanto strings. Weight wise it is around 9.5lbs very good value at this price I think as it has cost me a lot more than this but want it gone quickly The last 2 pictures show the only mark on the bass I have taken shots from different angles to show the mark properly it cannot be seen from the front of the bass and looks worse than it is in the pictures IMO I cant really think of anything else to say and knowing me I may have forgotten some thing so please ask any questions You can come and collect the bass from me or I can deliver securely parcelled up for £20
I've bought and sold quite a lot on here, and every transaction with the exception of one has been great. Mentioning no names, but I was selling a bass at a very good price (as I was just about to buy something else), and had literally 5 "I'll take it" PMs within an hour. As ever, I worked down them in line, and got back to the first person telling him it was his (and sent a it's-sold-but-I'll-get-back-to-you-if-it-falls-through message to the others). So buyer tells me he doesn't want it delivering, he'll pick it up, but can't get round for a week (despite living 30 mins from me). I hold onto it, and sure enough he arrives the following week, plays the bass, loves it, but instead of handing over all the money, tells me that he's bought £100 deposit, and will get the rest of the money to me the next day. As I still have the bass, I'm ok with this, although the ongoing delay is a bit of a pain. Next day comes, and I hear nothing. I send a PM and get a reply the next day, saying he'll pop down with the money "tomorrow"... You can probably guess the rest - after several false promises, he says he can't complete on the purchase (we're talking a £500 bass here, by the way, not several thousands). Naturally I'm a bit non-plussed with this, but as I'm out for dinner with the family at the time, I send a reply back telling him I'll refund his £100 later that evening. Within an hour, I get a notification on my For Sale thread along the lines of "you owe me £100, and although I don't like airing dirty laundry in public, I will do if you don't pay it back now". Sigh. So, not only did I lose 4 other buyers, not only did I hold onto a bass for a couple of weeks longer than necessary due to a time waster, he then had the audacity to try to make me out to be the bad guy on my sale thread. Knob. Incidentally, I subsequently chatted to someone else on here about time wasters, and the very same guy had done exactly the same thing to them. Luckily, the person in question stopped being active on here, otherwise I'd have had no problem in outing them.
My bad experience was a bit similar to cut a long story short I agreed a trade with a fellow BC member I then spent quite a bit of time sorting out photos and bits and bobs we both agreed the terms of the deal I was putting in a trade item plus cash so I packed the item and booked a courier, then the following day he sent me a PM saying I am not happy with this deal you need to pay £100 more and he was really s####y about it I said I thought we had a deal and if I pay £100 more I may as well buy a new one as it would be that price so He was not best pleased but I had the last laugh as his gear sat in the market place for ages, and after talking to some of my mates on BC it turned out he had done the same kind of thing to some of them:(
I've only ever had positive experiences with both buying and selling on BC. My only slight issue is people not leaving feedback... I solds three cabs in a week a little while back and left three lots of feedback... got nothing back from any of them.
I agree the feedback thing can be a bit annoying but I think thats just how it is

I agree guys I still have faith in BC there are some great people that I have met up with and dealt with and I call those people my friends you guys are included in that and that is worth more to me than any sale

I have noticed just lately there has seemed to of been a lot of time wasters about in the market place I have seen quite a few threads that go along the lines of "I will take that mate PM sent" Then 2 or 3 days later on the thread the seller will say " Hi Mate have sent you lots of PM's and you have not answered and you have been online X amount of times since" I have had a bit of this and it really gets on my wick its not the fact that they don't want the item any more even though it would of been nice to sell it is the fact the they are so bloody ignorant and just ignore you I would not be bothered if they just sent me a little message saying "sorry I cant buy this from you I dont have the money" or whatever at least then you can plod on and sell it. Now I know this kind of thing happens all the time on sites like ebay of gumtree etc etc but FFs we are supposed to be a community here and look out for each other that is what makes this place so great. Anyway moan over lol

In the second picture (with Adele) it looks like the bass has been super imposed on to another picture Photoshop trick?
