1. Well I still think this an awesome bass another one that should be gone and is not I would have it myself if I wasn't 310 quid short
 2. Had a look at your we site nice to see some of those pups again....I did not see any Tele bass pups though do you not do them?
 3. Yep sure is cool
 4. Well another great easy stress free deal with Mike deal with confidence he is a great guy to deal with
 5.
They weren't rude. They offered you a perfectly reasonable and standard solution that would apply pretty much to anything you bought anywhere. Maybe a bit of subtlety got lost in the translation of the communication - remember, it will be a German replying in his second language. Thomann would probably just say they'll send another set anyway if you had followed the standard procedure and contacted them. Its not really worth their while to be shipping £15 items (which cost them about £5) backwards and forwards. You cant be bothered to stick them in an envelope and pop to the post office. And now you're slagging Warwick off on a public forum. Quite disappointing really. I'm out of here.......
No they were not rude and I never said they were....I find your attitude very aggressive and immature and where did it say I could not be bothered to put them in an envelope? I thought we were having a sensible discussion on here but it seems that is not the case so as I am not willing to trade insults or get in to a playground mentality slanging match I am withdrawing from this I have said my bit I may be right I may be wrong but at least I put my feelings in a grown up and sensible way
 6.
How can it be appropriate to slag off a company on a public forum but not post their side of the story? I'm sorry you feel aggrieved about some duff strings but I think it's pretty clear from the responses here that you've dealt with things the wrong way and have created this storm in a teacup entirely yourself.
I have given the gist of it but I do not really think it appropriate to put private conversations on an open forum, Would you post a private conversation out in the open? I just don't think it is right to do so sorry
 7.
^ Well there is that yes - I've never been particularly blown away by Warwick strings despite buying a few sets.
Agreed lesson learnt and moved on I did not like the service I got I had a moan about it some of you guys gave me some input and I may be right I may be wrong but at the end of the day I will stick to brands I trust and am happy with I am a grown up and can move on its not like am going to start a worldwide " I hate Warwick" thread or anything
 8. Mind you it has taught me a valuable lesson keep any packaging and only buy Rotosounds or Ernie Balls lol
 9.
Thunderbird has PM'd their response to me, and I have to say that while it's not above-and-beyond EPIC customer service, IMO it's perfectly reasonable.
Like I said though it is a pretty bog standard reply and it did not answer one of the questions I asked but I do appreciate your input I find it good to have another opinion
 10.
+1. A lot of people criticising Warwick's attitude on here but we don't know what their actual response was.
There attitude was not rude it was just that I felt brushed off and to me it felt like they did not care they basically say sorry you are not happy please send your strings back to the retailer as you bought from there but it does not answer anything I asked them in my email so I do feel very brushed off
 11.
Can you C&P what they said, please?
I would PM you as I do not really think appropriate in the main forum
 12. I get the point about returning the strings to Thomann thing but the whole point of the thread is really about the customer service and the" I don't really care attitude" that is what has annoyed me more than the strings
 13.
I've had this sort of sound before when my pickups were too high for strings. Might be worth a try to lower them a little.
Tanks I have tried that but to no avail but my Rotos sound just dandy on the bass now I have put them on
 14.
The Gotoh appears to have two screw holes at the neck end of it, and 5 holes at the back of it. The seven holes required, as per American Deluxe, are all at the back of the bridge. 3 mounting holes (steady! ) and 4 holes for through body stringing.
Ah I see I was assuming it had 5 at the rear and two at the top
 15.
And what evidence did you give them that you weren't just a chancer after a free set of strings?
I would of sent the strings back minus the packaging as I stated
 16.
but have you thought about this? He was doing the equivalent of phoning David Beckham and complaining about a duff bottle of after shave. Warwick don't make strings. They probably don't ever see any Warwick branded strings. What they failed at was communication.
But maybe David Beckham might give a sh*t? have you thought about that? And it is there dont care attitude that I am more annoyed about than the strings as you will see in my previous posts
 17.
Thanks for that Thunderbird but I would very much prefer to avoid any non reversible alterations. This is mainly due to having the Destroy It Yourself skills of Frank Spencer
LOL what about the Gotoh?
 18. Not that I know about this but would it be possible for you to get the standard 5 hole bridge as they are cheaper and easy to get and drill out 2 holes and countersink them to make it a 7 hole fit I am assuming it has 5 holes on the bottom and 1 hole in each corner at the top or am I just talking nonsense lol Or I do believe this would be a drop in fit http://www.guitarbitz.com/guitar-parts-c29/bridges-saddles-tailpieces-c31/gotoh-203b-4-precision-bass-bridge-chrome-p540/s540?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_term=gotoh-203b-4-precision-bass-bridge-chrome-8936ch&utm_campaign=product%2Blisting%2Bads&gclid=CO344b_NvL8CFfMZtAodvgwA_A
 19. I have done 2 body's recently and I started by sanding all the old stuff off and starting from bare wood again I have sprayed before so that helped but it is all about the preparation and then taking time to build up nice even coats and decent quality paint is a must I used Hycote car body gloss paint and it turned out awesome. After painting I left the bass for a week to cure before applying lacquer but I cant stress enough it is all in the prep and is not a job to rush good luck
 20.
I'm amazed the whole set were dead. One in a pack is fair enough, but the whole set? That's just extremely bad luck.
Yep but in all fairness the D and G were not that bad but the E and A were just unplayable IMO they had this horrible kind of droning ehco sound it was just awful kind of like the sound of twanging a half stretched rubber band
 21. I am not a serious player but I have found Tab has helped me play better as I find it easy to digest I would like to be able to read music but I am just happy to play the songs and enjoy learning them , I know my own ability I am never going to be the next superstar bass player or a pro musician so I just enjoy it for what it is "a Hobby"
 22.
Maybe Thunderbird should have contacted Thomann but he explained perfectly clearly why he didn't, still no need for such a snotty response from Warwick or some of the posters on here.
Thanks Gary That was my whole point like I said before in an earier post it was not so much the strings that annoyed me it was more the "Dont give a monkeys attitude that annoyed me" but oh well I would like to add that maybe returning them to Thomann which I think are fantastic BTW maybe it would be the right thing to do but ultimately Thomann would send them back to Warwick to claim the money back on them so what I do not get is why Warwick were not very helpful directly? all they have done is lost any repeat business from me
 23.
This comes as no surprise. When I was arranging the Herts Bass I contacted lots of companies for donations for our raffle. EB UK, Stuart Clayton and D'Addario all generously donated items and were welcoming and friendly. I contacted Warwick through their Forum and Florin contacted the CEO on our behalf - the outcome was they were not in a position to help out with the event and declined to make any donations - a company that charges over £2,000 for basses can't even afford to give a grass roots event with their target audience a few sets of strings which cost them what?? £10?? I was disgusted TBH. My new policy is not to buy any Warwick products - they probably don't care cos that's pretty much their philosophy... Anybody want to buy a German Corvette??
Wow tight sods that is a pretty poor attitude
It is a shame when a brand annoys you but dont let it ruin a good bass, the EBMM forum is a joke and I have seen people sell basses because BigPoppa annoyed them but I like their basses not their CEO
Well I would not go selling stuff to prove a point....I really am shocked at what the Greek said about them not helping out with anything at the bash a multi million pound company like he said a few packs of strings would not of hurt them and they would of got some good PR for helping I am not purchasing any more from Warwick now
 24.
Did you speak to thomann?
No but it is in there small print that the item must be returned in its packaging its not really so much about the strings I am annoyed I just found the answer I got indicated they did not care that is what has annoyed me
 25. That is one seriously cool bass ash GLWTS mate
