  1. Fulltone Bassdrive I have had this pedal a number of years and not used it much hence it's in almost new condition. I believe Fulltone no longer exist and Mike Fuller ceased to trade a few years ago, however, happy to be proved wrong. Comes complete with the original box, sticker, bag and manual. I am based on the South Coast, just east of Portsmouth, and I would prefer if you were to travel to try before you buy. If you would like more information or pictures of certain parts of the pedal then please let me know and i'll be more than happy to post the pics here or directly to you. I'm happy for you to come and try the pedal out - you could bring your combo and bass or i'd be happy for you to use one of mine. Failing that, I could be convinced to post and I would take pics of pedal well and securely wrapped for you. But you would have to pay and arrange collection and delivery. £220.00 ono
  2. Trace Elliot Quad Chorus This unusual pedal can be used in either Stereo or Quad mode. As you can see in the pictures, it is two chorus pedals in one and the rates of both are independant to each other. But the most important thing is the sound. Played through a normal bass combo/stack or recording monitors, you will hear a noticeable difference in Quad mode to normal stereo - and you don't need more amps/cabs. It comes complete with the original Trace adaptor I am based on the South Coast, just east of Portsmouth, and I would prefer if you were to travel to try before you buy. If you would like more information or pictures of certain parts of the pedal then please let me know and i'll be more than happy to post the pics here or directly to you. 3. Avalon U5 - Bass Pre and DI I bought this second hand for a project that didn't take off. I had it serviced and apart from some general cleaning and the transformer being slightly loose, there were no issues. I have tried it both for recording and live and it does really sound rather good - so much better than a normal pedal DI. It states that it can be used for almost any instrument including vocals in the blurbed online, and there are lots of You-tube videos praising this model. The front panel is a little worn (previous owner) as i've only had it a few months. I am sure if this bothered you (it didn't me hence I bought it), you would be able to get the front panel replaced. The rest of the unit is in very good condition. If you look on the third picture, I have tried to capture the 'Avalon Design' label on the transformer. I am based on the South Coast, just east of Portsmouth, and I would prefer if you were to travel to try before you buy. Alternately, if you wished for me to post this I would then I would securely wrap it and post pictures to you. But you would need to arrange insurance and collection. If you would like more information or pictures of certain parts of the pre-amp please let me know and i'll be more than happy to post the pics here or direct to you. £400.00 ovno
  4. Mesa Boogie 400+ Watt Valve amp, matching 2 x10 and 1x 15 cabs I've loved this set-up ever since I became aware of it in the 1980s and coveted it. I felt I was lucky to get the chance to buy this some years ago and have since only gigged it a hand full of times. It's one of the rare times I've experienced the power, authority and pleasure in such a sound. It is with heavy heart, that at almost 62, I have come to accept that I will not be using the set-up again and so must move on to pastures new. It probably realistically deserves to be either with a collector, a Pro recording and/or Rehearsal Studio. 400+ head - I bought a set of valves from Watford Valves when I first purchased the amp and had them put in. There are 11 of the original Mesa Power amp valves and 4 original Pre amp valves you can also have. It comes with two flight cases - the original Mesa wooden one and a padded RHIHO case I have housed it in to protect the amp better and also preserve the original case. I also have both the ends of the Rhino case - not pictured. EQ on/off pedal - Official pedal, you will just need a cable to connect this to the EQ input section 2 x10 Cab - The speakers were changed for a new pair ordered in from Mesa in California through Westside in Scotland. 1 x 15 Cab - Comes complete with the 4 attached castors, two of which are locking. I am based on the South Coast, just east of Portsmouth, and I you would need to travel to try before you buy. If you would like more information or pictures of certain parts of the amp please let me know and i'll be happy to post the pics here or to you. I'm more than happy for you to come and try the set-up out. £2400.00 ono collected.
  5. Trace Elliot GP11 Bass Pre racked with Ultra Violet light Here we have a double racked (a flight case within a flight case) working Trace Elliot GP11 Pre-amp with the all important working housed Ultra Violet light. Sale also includes the two working ends of the outer flight case. It has the band 'Go West' sprayed on the side. As you can see its working and the GP11 has that classic Trace Elliot sound. I am based on the South Coast, just east of Portsmouth, and I would prefer if you were to travel to try/test before you buy. If you would like more information or pictures of certain parts of the amp/case please let me know and i'll be happy to post the pics to you or here. £150.00 ono - collected...make me an offer.....
  6. Ampeg SVT-VR 300W (all valve Blue Line series) SOLD I bought this amp 6 years ago from Mark at Bass direct. It was freighted to me and I used it in a local Blues Rock trio. It has been a pleasure to own and use. It must of performed about 40-50 gigs in that time as I was selective on which gig I took it to. All the valves work fine, there are no scratch pots, umms, noises of any kind. I have had it serviced twice in that time by2 different local quality engineers (the first one retired) and have looked after it, as all my equipment (ask Chi Mike for reference). Its in excellent condition throughout and if you would like more photos please let me know. The amp comes with two covers. At almost 62 the days of lifting have long gone for me. I probably should have moved this on some years ago but its so good I couldn't - know the feeling.... I am based on the South Coast, just east of Portsmouth, and I would prefer if you were to travel to try before you buy. If you would like more information or pictures of certain parts of the amp please let me know and i'll be more than happy to post the pics here or direct to you. I'm happy for you to come and try the amp out - you could bring your own cab of use my Bergantino. £1150.00 ovno.
  7. Fender 62 Jazz Vintage Reissue (1998) I bought this instrument 3 years ago as I've always wanted to try out this model/version from the period. I have been very happy with the bass and purchased what I thought at the time, and still do, is a good example. However, after 3 years of playing it and putting it down, I've realised that its not the bass for me - I have too many to choose from and it is now surplus to requirements. It plays very, very nicely and has that certain period tone to it with flats. It come with the black Fender hard case as in the picture and the case candy that I received ( Fender cloth and Bridge cover). I have left a Pick Holder on the bass (in some pics - but removed in the last four), which is only attached by a sticky buddy and easily removed if wished. The bass is all original and I have not tinkered with it replacing any of the parts or the finish. There are some marks on this bass (in you like to take it to the next level i'd be happy to take photos of these). There are some 'lighting' issues that I could not help but recognise when viewing the body finish but please be assured that there is NO discolouration of the finish. I have maintained the bass very well, cleaned body, frets, electronics, etc, to avoid any issues several times since I have owned it as I do to all my basses. I am based on the South Coast, just east of Portsmouth, and I would prefer if you were to travel to try before you buy. Failing this I am open to freighting it, and would pack the bass in its case, very well, and in a guitar cardboard bass box, but you would have to arrange freighting. If you would like more information or pictures of certain parts of the bass please let me know and i'll be happy to post the pics here or to you. Priced at £1850.00 ono + P&P. Any trial welcome.
  8. Fender Pawn Shop Reverse Jaguar Bass 3tsb I bought this instrument with the view of performing in a ZZ Top style band. After several rehearsals the band never came to fruition. It is now surplus to requirements. It plays very nicely and has a certain growl which I took to. It come with a generic bass bag. I have left a Pick Holder on the bass which is only attached by a sticky buddy. The bass is all original and I have not tinkered with replacing any parts or the finish. There are very few marks on this bass (in you like to take it to the next level i'd be happy to take photos of these) I have maintained the bass very well, cleaned body, frets, electronics etc to avoid any issues several times since I have owned it. Id be happy to throw in a 3"padded bass strap and weights to counter act the neck dive at this price too. It looks as if the bass has had about 8-9 hours of playing. I have placed a few short videos of the bass on my Youtube channel Peter S. Here you can see the condition of the bass clearer, and hear the basses tones, weight, nut width, etc. These are now becoming very rare and hard to find as most people tend to hang onto them. I am based on the South Coast, just east of Portsmouth, and I would prefer if you were to travel to try before you buy. Failing this I am open to freighting it, and would pack the bass very well in a guitar cardboard bass box. If you would like more information or pictures of certain parts of the bass please let me know and i'll be happy to post the pics here or directly to you. 10. Replacing the old Sound Post to a new expensive one ,shaped by a luither .
  11. Tempted, tempted....very very tempted
  12. I'm trying to source a hardcase for an Epiphone Deluxe 4 string Masterbilt acoustic bass. Does anyone know where I might get one from? Thanks in advance.....
  13. I have a Harvest strap and they are really great straps. The Dunlop strap locks fit them no problem - a little fiddly if its your first time but worth the time n effort. Thicker s taps can be a problem and I ended up taking my VERY thick Carlino strap to a shoe repairers who fitted the Dunlops locks to them.
  14. I'm looking to purchase an amp/combo for busking (yes, I know its the wrong time of year - hey ho)and wanted your advice on something g that will last longer than 1/2 hour before I have to change the battery - any advice would be helpful - thanks.
  15. The first proper amp and cab I had back in 1981 as a wee, up and coming Bassist - traded in for a Trace Elliot 1110 combo as a lot of us did back in 1985 - a mistake I was to learn from
  16. Love the natural Sadowsky with a maple fretboard and dots - best combination 😀
  17. Hope you can help - I find myself in a band with an inexperienced singer (whom I have grown to be friends with) who can change the key on the night depending on how they are feeling - (tight throat - but nerves I'm thinking) - it reminds me of doing Summer Seasons in the 80s and the talent competition moment where the guests, without warning, change their key several times during a performance, then the next one does and so on...then, they turn round and blame the band...cheek of it- lol......anyway back to help request..... I've been looking at the Digitech Drop and EHX Pitch Fork and the second one Pitch Fork + - its to get me through the night - change of key up and down ....any experiences/recommendations are welcome.....thanks
  18. These are GREAT amps and love mine - Line 6 liked them soooooo much they included them in their POD amp/cabs/effects units with a history of amps included in their booklet, and their reasons why they choose them - this amp was a BIG break through at the time = and still is, distinctive sound.
  19. They are lovely basses - still have the one I bought from you several years ago - my main bass
  20. I have the sunburst roadworn model and they are truly wonderful to play. If you are even semi interested/curious, do some research and buy one - they really are some of the best Mexican Fenders ever made
  21. I've played my Japanese Metro UV70 for almost 10 years and its my main bass. I was so impressed I bought another (also a Metro) - they have different strings on and used for different bands/styles of music. I find guitars played in a bit more comfortable to play - its a bit like buying a secondhand upmarket car.....
  22. I ordered four of these for three different basses several years ago and they are a wonderful idea and VERY useable 👍
