Tanglewood TW28 Acoustic SOLD
Peaty replied to Alien's topic in Accessories & Other Musically Related Items For Sale
Yes please Alien You have PM
Well, I've finally come to the conclusion that I am not now, nor will I ever be, a guitarist. With that in mind, it's time to sell this guitar. It's a Tanglewood TW28SNQ dreadnought acoustic, and comes with a TGI padded gig bag. It's got a spruce top, mahogany neck (and presumably sides and back too, but I can't be sure), rosewood board. It's in really good condition apart from a couple of little marks on the fingerboard (which will probably buff out with lemon oil), a tiny ding on the rear bout (about 3mm long) and a bit of wear at the end of the headstock. This shows the wear on the headstock The gig bag is pretty decent, with front and side handles, removeable backpack straps, 5 pockets and good thick padding (about 25mm thick). And I'll even chuck in a couple of sets of strings. Martin phosphor bronze, light gauge 12-54 I'm looking for £90 for this, or at least a very close offer. Pickup is probably best due to the nature of the thing, or I could deliver within about 30 miles or so of MK for fuel costs. Thanks for looking Andy
-
Hi Chrisd Are you still looking? I am based to the east over in Witney so maybe just out of range, You might want someone more local if not drop me a pm Cheers Pete
We play some covers (Sublime, Capdown, Bosstones) and some ska versions of non-ska songs (Enter Sandman for example) but mostly write original songs - but are yet to find a regular bassist, so are yet to play any gigs. We rehearse weekly (most Tuesdays), and are all in our mid-20s to early-30s. Now, to sit back and wait for the stampeding masses to reply to this thread...
Hohner B2A £85 plus post In black, has been a travel bass for me and was well gigged prior to me getting it. So a few dings and scratches plus a a crackle on the vol pot. crack in the plastic pick up surround but sounds good and plays well. 4 stringers are just not getting any play with me these days and I need to make some space in the rack. Cheers Pete
Hi Bassatnight My fretless 5 string needs were met by a toby pro from this very forum in the spring time. So I am sorted on that front thanks -
You'll be wanting to put this in the "For Sale" forum.
Yes I thought I would just check the wanted section first to see if anyone was after one of these and forgot to switch back to the for sale section when I wrote the ad. Hey Ho

Jay dee Roadie II in tobacco burst. Well gigged with a few chips in the lacquer especially on the head stock and a patch of belt rash on the back see photos below. Plays and sounds great but I am just not using it any more and it is time to move it on. £425 ONO plus post (but pick up would be preferable and I will supply tea and biscuits) The line on the body in this last photo is a reflection from the flash off the rim of the case not a scratch Any questions send me a PM If anyone is interested in trade for this (plush cash from me) for a nice thumb or steamer or other five stringer do get in touch. All the best Pete

If you are going to get some dry ash these people have sold me good quality timber (actually bought for boat building but ended up in my home build 2) http://www.robbins.co.uk/ but any good local supplier should be able to source good straight grained ash.

Mr Warwickhunt, That has got to be the deal of the decade. I have been thinking of getting my steamer fretless fretted as most of my fretless playing is on 5 strings these days. Even then I would still be a bit squeamish about taking it out to gigs. Anyway good luck with the sale and have a good festive season. Pete
