1. I reckon music should be made available to kids who want it, but i think teaching them cookery skills and where food comes from is more impoprtant, along with maths and english. Someone said that the entertainment industry hasn`t suffered during the recession, so it could be a good idea. The problem with that analogy, golf hasn`t seen a reduction in prize money, so perhaps that should also be taught.
2.
"...a fool and his money are easily parted..." Why not sell it to one of the many people who had shown an interest while it was being built???
Because they had shown an interest until they saw the finished product i would imagine.
3.
I have a fairly wide taste in music, and realise at some point it`s going to be a little daft me playing punk gigs,
You have at least 20 years of punk left. Charlie Harper must be 70
4.
Oh lord, I just coughed out a mouthful of tea! I'm envious though, I bet it makes good phone calls, unlike my iSh*te phone!
Too be fair to the Sony, it is clear as a bell for calls, fits perfectly in my pocket, and i don`t need to worry about U2 appearing on it. I think i may have to upgrade to an Android, as i seem to be missing out on apps.
5. No
6. Oh, i forgot the link. http://www.juno.co.uk/products/korg-kr-mini-compact-drum-machine-with/519382-01/?currency=GBP&flt=1&gclid=CNfb5abh3MACFSXKtAodKwsAWQ
7. Has anyone got one of these ? If so, are they any good? Has anyone got any alternative recommendations for the £100 mark please?
8. I always liked this video. It is all good viewing, but from about 6 minutes, it explains something about the bass drum. I have never played drums, so perhaps it isn`t as hard as he is saying. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jCKaVHgJyAM
9. I have the Bass Amplug. It sounds good. It has a volume, gain, and tone dials, plus an input for your cd player or phone to jam along to your backing tracks. I would recommend it. I use mine a lot at work, and in the garden for the nicer weather. It also has a distortion fx button for a different sound, but never really use
10.
Do you remember where you saw us play?
Of course. At Gloucester Guildhall with Planet Rock. I did have a chat to you after. You may remember, but you probably get so many idiots with drink on board, but i told you i had to come back to the guildhall the next day for a bass exam. Anyway, i enjoyed the night, had too much of a hangover and failed
11. Didn`t realise you were a member here. Saw your band once, and you were awesome. Will have to get to watch you perform again
12. Thank you
13. Anyone know where i can get hold of the sheet music for this please.? Can`t seem to find it anywhere.
14.
' They don't call him Stingraypete for nothing!
Ahh, i thought it was because of his love for Troy Tempest
15. Good luck with the trio. Maybe get a new singer to replace him. There must be plenty around who would like to come in on a new album release.
16. Is it better being played on a Musicman Stingray, or Fender Jazz
17. Thanks for the confirmation. I was surprised the question was answered so quickly. Not many people seem to flirt with this part of the forum
18. Ahh, of course it is the only major natural key that is flattened. I should have realised that, but as i was just doing that arpeggio on its own and just wasn`t thinking properly. Thanks for that.
19. In the key of F, is the 7th a D sharp, or E flat? I assume it is a D Sharp, but it doesn`t obviously fit into the Major scale
20. I wasn`t born to play bass, but i guess i was lucky. I got an illness that gravitated me towards it.
21. I prefer a CD to just a download. I hated CD`s when they first came out, and took me years to buy a player. I loved Vinyl as a kid. Going to HMV was part of the experience. I missed pulling the inside sleeve out with the photos and lyrics. When CD`s came out, i missed that, the booklets were boring in comparison. I am, happy we still have an HMV in town
22. It could be worse. If you weren`t in a band, you would be sitting in front of the TV being bored wishing you were in a band
23. lol, pretty pointless photos really
24. Ok, thanks for the info
25. Can a standard Double bass be played left and right handed. They look symmetrical, so i assume you can change the strings around?
