    I had the 760fx set on my ray for ages. They really bring out the mids and feel great. The G string pops sounded really meaty and full. Cobalts are far closer to rounds than flats imo so you’ll notice a definite change. But every stingray owner should try it once.

    LMB3 is great. A very underrated compressor (which does limiting too but it’s more flexible than that). I used one for years and years and was perfectly happy. Wasn’t keen on the colour though.

    My Maxon Af9 is here. Only had a quick ply this eve but a quick A/B with the Qtron and Mutron reveals that I was right - it fits right in between and seems like a great combination of both. Had to import one from Italy in the end as couldn’t find the two knob (as opposed to slider) version anywhere close!

    You'll have to go wired as there's too much latency on Bluetooth. Your practice amp should have a headphone jack. If you want a set that give a very honest and natural bass sound then I'd recommend Beyerdynamic DT770pro. They're really comfortable (big ear cups that cover your whole ear and velour pads which aren't hot and sweaty like some pleather types), light and the headband isn't too tight. Reasonably priced too!

    Fabulous! I hadn’t considered the screws that wouldn’t have any wood to bite into. That looks like a neat solution.so pleased the pickup covers the P cavity so closely though. It was a challenge finding a pickup that would!

    Hi Andy, that looks great, I think the shape looks good (granted this is just a mock up, the left hand side look more even). The shape of the pickup is quite unusual but visually it look like a jazz pickup at first glance, so it's not jarring at all. The neck pickup can be left out, I can keep pots and pans in there Best of luck with the final jobs, my diary is clear and car keys are in my hand 🤣 I sometimes put dymo tape labels on my basses, and I could put one across the front of the bridge to cover the tabs cut out for the previous pickup with the model name (Thunderbackerstang?) I think the number one question will be 'what pickups are those!'

    Are the pickups height adjustable once installed via the usual spring system? I guess they move independently of their surrounds to some extent?

    Looks great!! I rather like the rounded bezel for the rear pickup, and for it to be as small as possible whilst also covering the hole. Looks great in the last shot. Thanks for the update 👍🏼

    Hm I don’t like them for some reason. Or stacked pots. I think a slider switch will be quite neat and a cool take on the jaguar style, plus I think Andy has one already

    I’ve previously had it changed to blend and no-load tone which is great. There’s a switch to add though as the thunderbird pickup can be split

    a Europa 5 was my dream bass for a looong time, mostly because I love the look and the preamp, and Trevor Dunn playing one with Mr. Bungle. They don't come up for sale often. I bought an Elan 6 a while ago but it was a stretch too far for me and not quite as sleek as the Europa.

    Is anything else different? I find that when I open the app I need to select the transmitter if I haven’t used them in a while (everything connects and works perfectly without opening the app of course)

I also considered Mojo Pickups but their lead time was 40 days at least and frankly they didn’t seem very helpful via email
